In this video I cover how to plant vegetable plants in raised beds. There is a lot to learn when it comes to gardening and I am so excited to show you some very important tips that I have learned over the years.

Hi!
My name is Justin and I have my managed my family’s business (S&K Greenhouse) for the last 10 years! It is a local garden center in Shelby, NC that my family started around 25 years ago.

We have a strong desire to discuss and teach gardening to the online community and welcome anyone who wants to learn. Though we have been involved in the plant world for decades we have found that there is always something to learn when it comes to gardening.

Whether you are a master gardener or just starting out this channel is for you. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos!

  1. Yay!!!!! Glad to see you back. Was great to talk with Alex today. 🎉🎉🎉

  2. Oh WOW you are so full of joy. Makes everyone want to garden. FATHER GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER IN JESUS NAME 🙏 🙌

  3. MUCHO NACHO 4 LYF!! I have been growing them for the last 7 or 8 years, and they are by far the best variety of jalapeno. I love the heat and the flavor. I always end up with lots of jars of pickled mucho nachos with carrots and onions that I have to give away to friends. They all appreciate the extra heat of the mucho nacho.

  4. So ✨refreshing ✨ to be back! Thank y’all for ALL the support ! We’re more fired up than ever and have so much content planned!

  5. Was able to start my beds in April (Alabama zone 7) and only covered the tomatoes once for frost. My beds are truly raised because they’re a couple feet off the ground. Easier to maintain without bending over, but I planted tomatoes close to the side for staking. We’ll see how it goes. Also got some of the Marconi peppers on your advice..

  6. Hey dude, not gonna lie, I've missed you. Stoked to have you back brother. Happy gardening

  7. LOVE your videos, and your greenhouse! Customer for years! Would you be willing to do a Greenstalk video? I planted one this year (with some of your starters) and oh my it’s doing amazing!

  8. Same in NY with the weather
In fact we had frost a few days ago ‼️ I leave my pepers up until October, some of them turn from green to orange. I seen a video on taking the pepper plant in the house for the winter, you got to prune it and put it where it can get 6 hours of sun . Then next spring, plant back outside

  9. Hey Justin. It's fun watching a Garden Center Man plant his garden. soooooo fast. But then I am 66 but I got my Garden almost done. Just have tomatoes and peppers and that's it. I enjoyed the video. Message in the garden soil……Classic you! Thanks for sharing my friend! Cheers.

  10. I love to grow green beans. However, the Japanese beetles flock to the great bean vines, so haven’t grown for a couple of years… 😢

  11. I’m surprised you don’t have a drip system for beds, unless I’m just not seeing it. I really enjoy your videos 😋

  12. It’s been a cool spring in NC. I still have broccoli and cabbage growing. So I Inter planted my peppers and squash since I knew they would take some time to get going. Love your videos!

  13. I love Bio Tone and I LOVE your videos even more! Very educational and wishing I lived closer to the nursery (zone 8B, South Georgia)
But I do have two questions. I am battling army worms. They are AWFUL this year! The entire yard is eat up with them! So my questions are 1) do you treat preventatively for pests or as needed and 2) do you have any recommendations for these pesky army worms?

  14. I’m in Canton, NC and it’s been so cool! Love your channel! Perfect for me in Shelby! I have loved ones there! You are just good at this too! I’ve been gardening for awhile but, learning from you! Your videos are really good!

  15. That must be a different variety of zucchini than I've seen. I planted zucchini last year but it didn't have that white webbing-looking color running through the leaves. It was a solid green all the way through.

  16. would love a video on how to properly clean your gardening tools…..I planted many tomato plants and ONE had a wilt…needless to say, before I diagnosed it properly, I cut off two of the leaves then pruned my other plants….yeah, all thrown out as of today 😭 The ones that had fruit quickly showed that it was a total loss. Thank goodness I only did the ones in the one area of the yard!

  17. I am so happy I found this channel. Your videos are the right combination of information and entertainment. Too many content creators drone on an unnecessary amount of time. I get a lot out of your videos and will eventually get around to watching them all. Keep up the great work and if I ever make it down that way I will definitely be stopping by the greenhouse.
