Basil and marigolds with tomatoes , Borage and wild flowers are fab and look great for the bees long into Autumn from Spring.
Foxgloves and Hollyhocks. Echinacea and Cosmos help too. Love Calendula.
Nasturtiums help keep black fly off too!
So many . And many uses for the helping plants as well, teas , infusions , balms. Etc

Thank so much, very informative. I’m new to gardening and I’m trying to include flowers in my vegetable garden. I live in Trinidad and Tobago and my challenge is finding some of those flowers that you suggested. I plant a lot of marigold. But, I intend to keep searching. new subscriber.
Please remember to only sow native flowers or flowers that will not take over and invade your natives!!!

I plant zinnias, cosmos, bourrage, nasturtians, marigolds, in my raised veggie beds and have roses, and other perennials the bees love not far away. Thank you for your marvelous videos.
How do you add beneficial flowers when your garden is comprised of an elevated raised veg box and containers? I have no unused in ground space.

My nasturtiums self seed madly all over the veg garden and take over ! Can you advise? I am a bit regretful of ever having sown them as they are like triffids and I still have hundreds of cabbage whites?!? Love companion planting but this one didn’t work out!
strategic companion planting is essential to organic gardening
In my Zone 8b, Coastal South Carolina I plant Zinnias, Marigolds, Alyssum, Sweet William, Sunflowers, Coreopsis, Echinacea, Thyme, Bachelor Buttons, Yarrow, Siberian Wallflowers and Shasta Daisies. There are I ther flowers planted throughout the front and backyards. Some of these are new to my garden this year. However, there still is a shortage of Bee visitations.
