  1. I'm so excited to watch this form!!. The inspiration ideas for the entrance are fabulous.. I have a shade garden but it still needs alot of work as of now hostas a lilac tree/bush some dipladenia are all I have

  2. I love your inspiration pictures I can't wait to see you bring them together. Shade / Secret Gardens are so much fun. Hoping to get a few ideas from you. Love that FB marketplace iron planter ๐Ÿชป๐Ÿชด๐Ÿค—๐Ÿชด๐Ÿชป

  3. Also, shade with decent soil means slugs and snails feasting on my hostas, heuchera, toad lilies HOWEVER, not one hole in my Astilbe, vinca (Veronica), Liriope grass, Ajuga (any kind), Begonias in pots because they are shade divas or Japanese Andromea (but that has to be treated every year for lacewing damage if it gets too dry). 6b Go Huskies!

  4. Ohhhh exciting. This is gonna be. A great place to chill, don't forget a comfy seat . My Arbor is my favorite. You'll love it.

I really love shade plants. My Solomon seal is amazing, and great for cut flowers. It'll be fun for you to try some new plants.

  5. Oh, don't paint the garden table…it's so charming. Once you clean it up and sand it will bring on a vintage look. I can't wait until you bring all the plants in for the shade garden.

  6. Yes, you are starting your shade garden. I love the potting table. I am excited to see what you do with this space.

  7. Sounds like a great project and your inspiration photos are fabulous. I have a very heavily shaded, lush garden and also a lot of damp shade. There are an amazing number of great shade plants and I've enjoyed creating my own secret garden. May not work in Texas but I use a lot of moss. Love the plant stand. You certainly find some wonderful vintage pieces.

  8. Living in a new build neighborhood means you have a full sun garden now. In 5 years it will be partially shaded and in 10 years it will be mostly shaded. Who ever said that gardening is a one and done experience???

  9. Why don't you hang the planter on the wall and add shelving for storage to go with your rustic look

  10. It has been a "minute" since you talked about putting in the shade garden. I'm happy for you that you're getting to work on it this year. I'm one of those who has a lot of shade but with that we deal with deer, so that's a challenge since hostas (shade living) and deer get along waaaayyy too well!! They can take out a hosta in one browsing. Now I'm planting lots of different ferns, astilbe, and heuchera. Hey, and don't forget those double up begonias like sun or shade to get your color on.๐Ÿ˜Š
Can't wait to see your vision come to fruition.

  11. Yeah I love that metal piece I'm the one that has 30 in New Kensington PA I bought I bought one hit for 60 bucks out of my phone keeps going off so if it doesn't look like it's right that's why okay talk to you later it's beautiful okay

  12. You are so creative! Thanks for including the pics of inspiration and I appreciated your detailed explanation for your shade garden. Canโ€™t wait to see the progress ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  13. So excited to see you transform this area. I love shade gardens. I'm in Texas too so it's gonna be something I copy with plants with you on ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š

  14. I canโ€™t wait to see this evolve. I appreciate your patience with respect to budget and waiting for the perfect piece to be found. Will this remain the entrance for your mowers to use?

  15. Those indoor pictures were great. Love that 3 tier planter! Try a Terry tennis cap to keep sweat out your eyes.

  16. I love all kinds of gardens but shade gardens have a special place in my heart โค๏ธ Greetings from far away Massachusetts
