Garden tools that make great gifts ||| Part 1

I’m sharing some of my favorite garden tools that I think happen to also make great gift ideas for yourself or other gardeners.

I probably use this tool—the Sneeboer Great Dixter Planting Spade—more than any other digging tool. It’s great for planting anything small, dividing, digging up small plants, weeding and more. It sells at most places for $94.

The T-handle is my favorite style of handle. It’s easy to grip and use. Replacement handles are available so this tool should last you a lifetime.

The Great Dixter Planting Spade can be difficult to find. Sneeboer’s Perennial Spade is the same, but has a flat head rather than the slight V on the Great Dixter Planting Spade version.

You can find this at most places that carry Sneeboer tools including:

  1. It's out of stock…I've e-mailed to see if it will be available soon. It would be perfect for me.

  2. I have had the flat perennial blade version for 20+ years and love it for digging and, especially, dividing. Easy to sharpen. My handle also broke after 15 years but easy to replace. Truly a lifelong / heirloom tool and worth the $.

  3. Nice! That’s just my size. 🙂 Santa won’t have to work very hard this year to find a gift for lil’ ol’ me.

  4. Get a trench shovel it’s a 3rd of the price and will last longer because they were made for the military
