Phwoar thank you all SO much for the comments on this one. I wish I could respond to them all, hopefully I will find the time to soon. It's about half 10 pm and we've just arrived safe and sound in the Lakes! Hell of a day trip up here but I'm so excited for this project and you have all given me a wonderful blessing. Hearing you talk about Steve got me upset and I never knew him but do miss his videos as they were always so full of good information, please if you can pass on my condolences to his wife and family thanks

Hi jb yes I watched Steve putting up his new poly tunnel & yes bless him never got to grow anything in it ! What a pleasure you should be very proud! Ah JB such a beautiful gesture from Steve. 🥰He knew that the gardening future of his polytunnel would be in good hands with you. And you have his wonderful videos to watch to help put it up on your plot too, so he will be with you all the way. No doubt having a bit of friendly banter. Glad to hear you got there safely, well done Jess for helping out. Such a beautiful part of the country too. A north south polytunnel could work well, I think it is good to have some cooler sections and hotter sections to give you the flexibility of growing. My greenhouse goes East/West and although much smaller has a very hot edge and I have to shade it every summer as things get very scorched. Well, not so much at the moment with this cool wet July 💦
Wow what a generous gesture from Steve a true gent if ever there was one.
Steve very much had a soft spot for you, they way he used to rib you was so evident of this. He took you under his wing and with gentle prodding and nudging guided you (and all of us) through the processes of our great love that is GARDENING.
It will be so comforting that we will still get to see a part of Steve's great legacy and his trust in you and just remember to plant 'Green Side Up'
I do so miss the old man 🥰. I hope his plot doesn't go to rack and ruin, it would be a fitting tribute of it could become a community plot where gardening skills could be passed on to a new generation. RIP Steve

JB! Every Gardner watching your channel will be thrilled, I certainly was, we are all missing Steve he inspired me on to grow food, this year I’ve achieved cabbages, red onions, carrots scarlet kale to name a few!
Now we are all waiting JB for you to assemble onto your 2nd plot, which we all know is going to be 😅 fun 🤩

Oh JB, i cant think of anyone better to have it and cherish it and obviously Steve thought the same…made me choke up. I the same as you get upset when i think of all the plans Steve had for the tunnel and the things he would grow in it, then never to get that chance. So sad. I look forward to you carrying on his legacy with it and remember the instructional videos on putting it up,,,see he even left you with those. Enjoy your holiday, love to Jess too xx

Just watched the video of your trip to Cumbria JB, and I can’t think of a more deserving person to have Steve’s tunnel ❤️. I haven’t been able to watch any of Steve’s old videos – it’s just too sad 😔, but now I can really look forward to seeing your progress, not only with the poly tunnel, but with your allotment adventures as a whole! What a shame i only seen this today JB i am only 15 miles away from Steve's allotment i could have brought some power drivers and power spanner's to help you and Jess out and get to meet you in person, I can just imagine Steve saying JB would love this, for his peppers
