What's this plant

Sprouted to this height in about a month! Is this just a weed?

This plant popped up in my grandma’s flower bead a bit over a month ago! She’s having fun watching it and would love to know what it is. Thanks!

looks to me like a juvenile partidge pea or something similar. my childhood home had an infestation of something like those suckers for about 2 years. once they drop seeds theyre absolutely everywhere and grow FAST

I have one growing in my garden bed and had no idea what it was so thanks for this post. Now I’m unsure of what to do with it lol

    Yes, and no. Mimosa tree.

We had two of them in our front yard growing up and they grow like weeds. They will eventually die out but over fifty years later I am still finding some small ones hidden in my hedge or other places. No matter how often I cut them back the come back.

This is Bigpod sesbania according to my AI app, and it matches this really well.

It’s not a tree of heaven which is a good thing

We have these all over our farm, for partial shade and nitrogen fixing. Sesbania

Isn’t this known as the shy plant , if you stroke it’s leaves they all fold.
