  1. I just finished doing a similar retaining wall but using the Angelus blocks, I’m trying to add a wall cap for the Angelus block but I can’t seem to find any for them, wondering how much those wall caps cost?

  2. How high can you build a retaining wall with that type of block? Looking forward to the rest of the vids on this project. Thanks.

  3. your son cant lose ,old man to fallback on ,gives him confidence ,fed up saying it great work lads ,enjoy

  4. I'm going to replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall with similar blocks.. Should I use the concrete base similar to how you did it or do the usual 3/4in pebble rock base?

  5. With the brick you removed wouldn’t it be easier to use it as hardcore, it seems that you just throw it in a land fill. Over here in the UK they crush it up and use it as hardcore before you put the concrete. Instead you bring new stone clippings in. It’s just a thought

  6. How many inches of dry concrete do you use as your base? If I go 36” high can I do same without adding gravel for base material

  7. Been watching you guys for years and didn’t realize your office is located in Fountain Valley, CA! I live in Covina, CA! Thank you for sharing your craft with us. I’m looking to build a raised planter w/cap for the occasional seating but don’t want to pour a concrete footing (one man show). I was planning on using CMU (8x8x16) due to low cost. Do you recommend using this dry patch method with CMU or does it only work on material with more surface area? Is there a min/max depth of the dry patch? How much water do you apply to the dry patch? Is Blue Hawk the only manufacture or does Quikrete make a product? Which do you recommend? Do you have a video on this dry patch method? Thank you in advanced!

  8. Love your videos! Noob here DIYer – can you show how to set up a laser level? At the start of the video you said you wanted to grade to 1” below the door so I was wondering how you set that up and manage throughout the grading work.

  9. I'm doing this for my front yard. By hand this is brutal work but I'll be happy when it's done.
