Please do a video on squash vine borers. Dealing with that now
I have lettuces growing a 3' high bed with a repurposed piece of 30 yr old flex plastic lattice arched over it with an old sheer curtain attached. Planted it all around 4th of july. Full sun area but perfectly filtered light. We had the high 90s for a week, 2 weeks ago and theyre doing fantastically. They did need watering every day. Theyll make do until the last frost bcs the corn salad is slow germinating and slow growing so when the other lettuces konk out, theyll be at their peak.
Im also ready to plant some bush and vine cuckes to replace the ones that are worn out
I started carrots, cabbage, blue lake green beans and cukes in seed containers. I will also in the fall start lettuce, spinach radishes and bunching onions. Thanks again for the great information.
I planted patty pan squash in early July for the same reason. So far, so good. Also, gardening ASMR should totally be a thing.
I’m in northern Michigan. This is my first year to plant a Fall garden. Radishes and peas, both sugar snap and shelling.
Curious how anyone else's gardens are doing for those involved with a lot of Canada wildfire smog this summer? Everything looks like its taken a hit. Veggies taking longer than usual to color, leaves & total plant health looks dismal, asparagus looks like it may not come back for next year (multiple issues started when smog rolled in) Trees are sparse here to absorb all this carbon. Not new to gardening, guarantee its not due to soil fertility or watering. I can only imagine a weak ag harvest for sure this year
I’m in texas so I am weeks behind you but it’s nice to see
someone else going first and showing planting by example because in the spring I was just winging it. 😂
Im planting more beans, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, okra, and cucumbers.
For cool crops I will plant carrots, beets, onions, garlic, and radishes.
I am inspired to plant a fall garden. Thanks! I'll try okra and swiss chard at the very least.
Oh, it made the video.
What if I have a greenhouse that is not heated. Can I still keep them in the garden later. My greenhouse is built over My raised bed
Want about a thin white sheet?
Sowing outside is brilliant❤
Also day length is shorter now and moving forward
I’m planting a fall garden for the first time.
Cold frames , hot beds and mini green houses can easily be used to extend the season.
Great content fellow gardeners. In my case, zone 9b in the Sacramento area as a retired small yard gardener, I am now learning to garden year round with spring/summer, summer/fall and fall/spring plantings.
I am planting a fall garden. I too live in Michigan. I am going to plant peas, lettuce, radishes and garlic for sure. Thank you for your invaluable information. Take care.
I have had problems growing radishes for a few years. I plan to grow them indoors overs the winter with grow lights. We have tried in early spring and for the fall and total fail. I hope this is the answer. 😊
My family loved the Jade beans 🫘🙌🏻
Thanks Luke. Great ideas for Fall. What happened to your ginormous greenhouse?
Blue Lake 77 bush bean was a pole bean in my garden….don't do it. And they didn't taste that good.
Thank you. Have to share! God Bless and stay safe.
I would be up for watching asmr gardening ❤❤
I have so much planting to do now!
Thanks for inspiring me to try a fall garden this year. Will try kale, swiss chard, cukes and peas.
AMSR – LOL
I’m in the middle of this Texas heat dome (100+° for 2 weeks straight), but I figured out that on the north side of my house where I have a giant retaining wall filled with very sandy soil, that with compost mixed in, I’m able to grow melons, zucchini, cucumbers, and corn with no problem at all! They get just a little bit of direct sun in the morning and then nothing but indirect light after 11am.
Cannelini beans, red swan bush beans, broccoli, cauliflower, Swiss chard, peas. My broccoli, cauliflower, and Swiss chard are already growing in pots and my beans, carrots and peas are in the ground. My first frost date is 90 days from now, so should be able to get a good late fall harvest. First time trying it, so we'll see!
Asmr video 😂
Why did my bean seeds form a white puss looking blob?
Great explanations!! Such a nice video. Anyone could watch this and understand. Amazing
I planted okra in July but it's not doing anything. I think it's been too cool 😢
I'll be planting a variety of things; broccoli, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, and probably cucumbers as long as the bugs aren't out in droves. Right now bugs are eating my pepper leaves and basil leaves like crazy and am not sure what to use on them that will be most effective as well as safe. I see mixed reviews on Spinosad and BT and one thing that's concerning is that some have reported one or the other of these shriveled their plants. I've tried Neem oil and that was pretty much useless. What do you recommend? I'm afraid to put any of my current lettuce plants outside because their tender leaves would probably be shredded to ribbons.
Im planting a fall garden. You and your amazing seeds are helping me with all of it. Im so excited. This is my very first time to tey for a fall garden. I cant wait. I love to grow stuff so much!!! Hope it all does great
Yes fall garden. Zucchini, cukes, dill, cilantro, peas, maybe ill get a sucker from one of my tomato plants that did well.
Please do not do an ASMR video,
