Cauliflory is when plants flower and fruit along their main stems or woody trunks. It’s super cool to see in person, but quite rare. 🌸
Eastern redbud trees (Cercis canadensis) are known to be occasionally cauliflorous, though most redbuds in my area do not typically exhibit cauliflory. 🌳
During peak bloom, it’s quite a show! It adds even more value to this beautiful native tree. 🤩
