  2. Just wanted to say that your videos are extremely helpful and very entertaining. Never grown a plant in my life but after watching your vids I’m going to give it a go! Hope you have an amazing day, thank you for all these vids

  3. I had to come rewatch this video because I sown mine exactly how you instructed last weekend and they sprouted up yesterday! I was very pleasantly surprised! I planted Tonda di Parigi and Red cord Chantenay because they were both short day varieties! I live on the central coast of California zone9 (warm the last few days) super excited to see how they progress! thank you for all of your guidance!💪👏🥕

  4. This is just a hotch potch of instructions. You should start with the basics. How to prepare the soil and go step by step. You said nitrogen required should be minimal. You did not say what other specific nutrients should be there.

  5. Thank you so much. Lost my carrots to the latest frost down here in TX, even though I mulched and covered with frost cloth. Going to try again.
    Thank you for the tips!

  6. Hi, I love the idea of planting carrots and radishes together, I will try this!
But, just to be sure, do you just mix both kinds of seeds together before planting them?

  7. I must say " go Riders" first. This will be my first year growing carrots in a very long time so am looking forward to trying your method.

  8. Finally, somebody in gardening that knows how to teach and entertain a little at the same time. I'm subscribed and thanks.

  9. Hi from Sydney Australia…. been gardening for a long time….. but really your clips and have learnt heaps of useful info. Cheers

  10. what can
be eating my carrots??? i finally grew some carrots and went out to pick some and something had chewed the heck out of them. any idea what it could be and what can i remedy this problem with.

  11. Hi. I am a new subscriber. I think you are one of those who explain details and beginner friendly!! This is my very first time trying to start vegetable garden. I watched your zucchini video. And they are now germinating in seedling tray. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
For carrots seeds, can we do the same as zucchini?? Plant seeds in seedling tray with lid? You mentioned carrots like warm. But temperature where I live is still questionable… still in 40 f – 50 f outdoor. (Zone 6a in US) I am trying to grow my vegetables in containers also.
    Thank you in advance.

  12. Tried carrots in the ground last year and had maybe 5 about 2inch long, this season I’m trying them in a bucket, loose soil, we’ll see what happens, glad to see this is a thing!

  13. I'm doing it tomorrow, first thing in the morning after coffee.
Thank you for a very good and very inspiring video.

  14. Store bought fertilizer and Soils are not a wise choice. Earth dirt with added vermiculite works for me. Trust no mass produced soils or fertilizers. Government are our enemy and yes they are sabbotge and taint and manipulate it all. Evil government agenda. Wise to grow veggies nowadays. Agemda is real

  15. Is this the same guy that used to paint his face green and hide behind bud plants while giving “garden” tips? I loved that channel. This is a great video looking forward to growing carrots.

  16. Don't know how you get your carrots so large at 38 days. Mine are at 70 days and are tiny. I added bagged manure to the soil when I sowed them and then gave them nitrogen (Fish Emulsion 5-1-1) in the first month. Dressed with bone meal once in the second month. My carrots are tiny… I mean tiny. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. They get plenty of sun. Do you have any suggestions? Love your channel!

  17. Thank you for the thinning idea! 👏💡That’s brilliant! I’ll definitely do the same and just let all my carrot seedlings live a little longer.😊

  18. I followed this video to grow my carrots and they germinated quickly and at a very high rate! Just waiting for them to get a bit bigger now to thin. The advice in this video was so helpful, now I use your channel to help me with all my other plants 😊

  19. Can you please explain thinning, do you just mean the tops? Or actually pulling some out cos you just threw them all in willy nilly lol
