  1. Hey, Kaye!
I'm doing a big batch of pickled lemon cucumbers today, myself.
Also, I've been fermenting peppers since 2019, and the fermentation dramatically cuts down the heat. I would have added a few of the yellow and red peppers for sure.

  2. It’s been a while since I’ve watched any of your videos, so glad to be back! Did I miss it, or does the ferment have no vinegar?

  3. Most of my pickles are fermented, and I do it pretty much like you do. It makes it easy to do small batches as the cucumbers come in. The years I get a massive harvest, I use my 3 gallon pickling crocks. Those are great for making large batches of sauerkraut, too. LOL, Girl! The next time you want to test a pepper, just cut it and touch your tongue to the cut piece. No sense taking a bite out of the cut piece and burning yourself up!

  4. Oh Kaye you do make me laugh! 😂 I started eating my okra right out of the garden with your encouragement. I love your adventures.

  5. Beautiful! I need to do this. Kaye can you ferment slices of lemon in this as well? Maybe one lemon?

  6. You are BRAVE to try those peppers on camera! Some of them fake you out and don't burn until later! I made lacto-fermented mild salsa last year, and I was so pleased with it. I also followed Stacy's instructions. My daughter-in-law inhaled it!😂

  7. Hi Kaye! Wow!! You did such a great job. Your ferments look so delicious!! Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️

  8. I use blue painter's tape to mark my jars. It comes off very easily.

  9. I love that you tasted the peppers on camera and left it in the video. You are keeping up what you started in the beginning, eating on camera. That's what makes me keep watching.😅

  10. Wow! What a dish! Really does look delicious and tasty, with such vibrance and color all spicy and hot..yummee☺️
    and the fermento too!
You look beautiful Miss Kaye. Great content today, everything inside that apron is perfectly fermented. I like the flavor of the salt from the plains, but nothing compares to the whole Celtic Salt in my uneducated, ill-informed, and the humble opinion of person that puts more than a dash of cinnamon and cayenne pepper in his black coffee with my coconut oil on sourdough bread with cayenne and sprinkled fresh parsley after micro broccoli sprouts…but before the lilacs in the dooryard last bloomed.

  11. I've never fermented anything but i do love sour kraut this looks so beautiful and easy, i will try it minus the hot peppers 😉💞, love is the key, always 💞 🌶🥒🧄

  12. I'm going to do a mixed ferment tomorrow. I have so many cukes, peppers, herbs, I need to do something with it all & this is perfect. Thanks, Kaye!

  13. Milk does help but honey breaks down heat as well. I was on a chili team from my church and we won hottest chili and our reward was honey. I love hot peppers and have eaten ghost pepper sauce and fresh habaneros. Lately I have had problems with jalapenos so I think my tolerance may be going down.

  14. I so felt the heat when you took a bite of the pepper. Loved how fast you spit it out. My eyes were watering with you. I just did a quart of fermented tomato sauce. Loved your reality video. Most people would cut it out. Beautiful colors in your ferment.

  15. My fridge is full of fermented dill pickles , beets, sauerkraut and tomato sauce. I do t pressure can or water bath. Only ferments. In the past I have done carrots and onions. That is great. Hope you show these jars when fermenting time is up.

  16. I love hot peppers but would never be as plucky as you to just bite into a pepper not knowing how hot it is. Beautiful jars. TYFS

  17. Helpful hint off topic: Dehydrated carrot greens in place of parsley if you didn't plant parsley like I didn't.

  18. I’m sorry but that was funny as Hell watching you try those peppers! Thank you for the chuckle! ❤️ love your spirit!
