Today I will be giving you a tour of my Summer Suburban Garden. You will see Summer flowers and veggies and their progress from planting time a few months ago to see their progress. I will provide their names to give you some ideas for your garden plans for now or next year. These are flowers that can handle the heat of Summer and are great in containers as well as flower beds.

  1. Nice. It is good to see you had a good vegetable garden crop this year. Glad to see your Iris and other flowers doing well. It was really hot this year. Hope next year will be cooler. Looking forward to see what you will do for the Fall.

  2. Oh my Marlene!!! I love the flowers and the tulips are so beautiful. I love the color of the Caladiums on your porch. How do you control the weeds? I want to plant flowers but the weeds always take over. You have such a lovely walkway. You really have a variety of flowers. So the flowers in the pot grows back every year as well? I bet you have the best yard on your street. 🌹🌼🌷🌸

  3. Everything is so beautiful Marlene!! You really know your flowers, the Dutch Iris, Crepe Myrtle is so pretty. I see a lot of Crepe Myrtle around here (didn't know what they were called till I seen yours!!). Your beans look great from the garden!! Thanks for sharing!! Take care!! 🪴🌺

  4. Your garden is gorgeous! I tried Clematis this year and it did not survive. I was so disappointed for one because I paid more than I normally do for a plant. I think it was just too hot and it was exposed to very hot unfiltered sun. I know the butterflies love your garden. Do you also attract humming birds too?
My mother had the creepy phlox on her ditchbank. Hers was a mixture of pink and white. So beautiful during the spring. I have a rose of Sharon in a pot on my deck. I had no idea they could get so large. TFS

  5. I love the Clematis and Ground Flocks., Iris , Gladiolas, and Purple Waves. The Rose of Sharon reminds me of the Hibiscus. Hope the pink/ Purple version comes up for you.. Hope next year will be not as hot.

  6. Marlene thanks for giving us a tour of your garden. Your front porch look inviting. The plants are so pretty. Everything looks sooo beautiful. You had a really good harvest with those vegetables my dear.

  7. Wow Marlene. Your flowers are gorgeous! They all are so lush and lovely. You take really great care of your plants. I would paint the stand white. Beautiful tour. Great harvest!!!! 💖

  8. Your Summer Suburban Garden is just amazing and lovely, really love the varieties of Flowers and veggies there! They are all looking so beautiful and healthy! Thanks a lot for this tour Marlene, love them all!❤
