A Night at the Roxbury is a 1998 American comedy film based on a recurring sketch on television’s long-running Saturday Night Live called “The Roxbury Guys”. Saturday Night Live regulars Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan, Molly Shannon, Mark McKinney and Colin Quinn star. This film expands on the original Saturday Night Live sketches where the Roxbury Guys were joined by that week’s host, and bobbed their heads to Haddaway’s hit song “What Is Love” while being comically rejected by women at various clubs.

  1. I remember the Pink Taco site as that’s where Johnny Dramas 5Towns billboard was when he was taking photos in front of it.

  2. I saw this movie when it came out (via SNL Chris Kattan-I think he’s cute-Will Ferrell makes me laugh and giggle at times-I own several of his movies)

I’m NOT a FAN of the Decades: 90s 2000s 2020s; world has gotten worse since mid-90s and continuously will go down more so to this day and beyond eternity and forever….

  3. I would honestly love to book you to show me around LA when I visit from Scotland next year….you know your 80s stuff which I love 😊😊

  4. Great video as always, the lady cop in this movie is best known as stiffler’s mom the MILF in American pie.

  5. Cool to see the interior of The Roxy, saw Agent Orange there back in 86

  6. Thanks so much for doing this video. I just got back from West Hollywood to Australia, Night At The Roxbury is one of my fav silly movies and I didn't realise I was walking right past where this was filmed! Blows my mind, I even stopped to look at the the building, which was used for the inside/out Nightclub. Insane! 😂😂

  7. No mention that Billboard Live is the location of Gazzari’s? One of the main rock clubs of the 80s?

  8. Thank you for the video! It's awesome with details of locations! 👍👍 Great job!

  9. I had never heard of this film but still always enjoy the "then and now" even without knowing the film. Often a tad depressing when locations change for the worse. From the head-nodding clips in the car I'm getting a Wayne's World influence
If anyone is reading this and like me is STILL waiting for the full POINT BREAK locations then thumb me and perhaps 80s Life will notice. Peace Out

  10. Awesome as always, Kurt! Another movie location that would be fun would be The Brady Bunch Movie. I believe all of it was filmed in the Valley.

  11. Small world. I’ve basically visited & driven so my times by most of those spots. Great video. Now I have to go & watch the movie again, forgot how funny it is. Luckily still have the dvd 😅 a total classic 🪩🕺🏻

  12. Thank's 80's guy for doing this classic film, the soundtrack is the best of the music of the 90's dance music!!!score

  13. The last building at the end in green is mutato muzika. Its Mark Mothersbaugh of devo production company. I recognized it right away.

  14. Yeah again I enjoyed that very much! Followed you from place to place on Maps! I've gotten to know LA even though I've never seen it with your great videos! A Night at the Roxbury was a better skit than it was a movie, but again, that was a fantastic tour!

  15. No, what really lowered the club attendance in contrast 2 today's measure & I'm sure they dropped a little since.☝️ 2 things , outrageous prices on drinks of the don't fall under a happy hour when I'm there 🙃😄.the major 1n that is that thorn in the side is police running a dragnet 4 any bs PI /DWI slash leave the fucking people alone to have a pleasant experience, not a breach of liberty or humanis . Just commission off of any possible opportunity to make anything out of minor something the y can weave into a infraction to fine u. Enough bad experience. U feel like these dog catchers stalking u out , like a fucking FBI agent on a steak -out😋. Go 2 Golden Corral like the rest of the drunken munchies patrons 🤣

  16. Was Billboard Live the Key Club at the time of filming? Then I believe it turned into Sky Bar. Not sure but thats always where I thought it was shot.

  17. Thank you so much for making this video! I’ve been hoping for years that someone would find their locations. You’re the best!

  18. The day you stop making film location vids is the day I’ll be quite sad. You’re amazing.

  19. The exteriors of Zadir's club is Mutato Studios which is owned by Mark Mothersbaugh from DEVO

  20. Most of the film locations look like crap now. Everything looks shuttered with bad paint jobs.

  21. I'm not watching any more of your videos until you do the hidden 80's gem "The Sure Thing" filming locations.

  22. U should do Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor last movie together "Another You". I think it takes place in California
