How many gourds does one butternut squash normally produce?
butternut squash does not produce gourds… Gourds are an entirely different plant
@DogWar7800 The vines will die off, but don't let the squashes get hit by frost!
I was actually looking for a way to grow the seeds from a butternut. How would I do that? Dry them and store them till spring, I guess? And then what?
@dave4854 If you're going to criticize, you could at least answer his question
@AimingforLess I think one vine can produce about 10 squashes
she says a high phosphorous count…I was told a high nitrogen count fertilizer
you plant squash plants in hills not as she is showing
put them in the ground after the last frost.
Between three and six depending on the variety. The larger the fruit the fewer the fruit.
