  1. Good Morning Kaye – Not surprised you found a way to get on that 4 wheeler with a broken knee cap! From your experience I've learned that I need to prepare for the possibility of injury and the impact that would have on my gardening plans. You are very fortunate to have friends/neighbors to help out at this difficult time. I know you see how much still needs to be done and it is very frustrating but healing your knee is more important IMO. Sending prayers and continued healing for a blessed week..

  2. Try some bearded irises and peonies for some perennial flower display. Also, tulips and daffodils should be available soon. I love them cause the flower for next year is already in the bulb. Darwin hybrids are more dependable on coming back every year.

  3. You're tougher than I am Kaye, doing more than I could in your situation. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 13 years go. I understand the need to be doing something, I have a hard time sitting still for long. I'm also by myself to take care of my home and garden, on a hill, tho I have less than an acre. I ferment, dehydrate, make tinctures and salves, etc.

  4. Ms Kaye, All we all can do is do the best possible. Most of my garden is finished. It is a toss up if I'll get a Fall garden in. I want to but we 'll see. I'm processing all of my green tomatoes into green tomato mince pie filling. The warm spices really are the scent of Autumn. Be safe! And try to relax.

  5. It's a blessing in disguise you have no winter gardens. You feel bad enough in your condition about not being able to ready to your liking your beautiful gardens for the winter. You would feel so much worse if you had one and could not maintain it. Thank you for the lovely garden tour. ๐Ÿ’•

  6. I hope if I stopped the video to run into the store and finish when I get out, you still get yt brownie points. I Am eating carnivore 11 months and I'm healthier and down 45lbs. I wish I was 10 yrs younger ๐Ÿ˜‚. So I'm growing and canning green beans. Suggestion… with all the time, money, personal and hired labor, machinery, fencing, gardening supplies and costs, you've put into having fresh vegs and so many crop losses due to whatever, If it were me, I cut the sq footage of next yrs garden by at least half and plant only what you can put up. I was in TN last week driving north on 40 from Teleco. ๐Ÿš—

  7. Tripping on stuff was how I ended up in the ER with 30 stitches! I lost my confidence for a while and questioned myself but guess what I still bounce back at nearly 75 yrs. I am back and a bit more careful but still doing great! Biceps that make me crack up๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. mow it now….I know the feeling of not having decent knees and living on a mountain…lol oh well! You are doing good but the yarrow probably come back up next spring..so i would go ahead and cutter down!

  9. first question where are the kitties
their absence is paramount,,,,,, they are always with you checking what you are doing????
do you know a 30yr old couldn't keep-up with you
    gardening film-making awesome girl,,,,
Kaye i sent you a email explaining why i moved out of Arizona
now i live in Roxbury Drive BH,,,,,,
yes yo are a astounding girl godbless you take care now
    Edxx

  10. I didn't plant any Roselle this year because I was heartbroken last year.. it was just starting to bloom when our first Frost killed it all.. I think it might just be impossible to grow here.

  11. Kaye l think you can make a nice wreath with all those dried flowers from your garden and hang it on your porch. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  12. I am surprised to see you out. As my grandmother would say "You're a tough ole codger" ๐Ÿ™‚ . At least with everything winding down maybe you can take the winter to heal. So the what you referred to as "Giant Zucchini" can you slice it and fry it like regular Zucchini?

  13. May I suggest you consider selling the 4 wheeler and getting a side by side. It would be your best friend.

  14. Kaye, Iโ€™m a gardener but not food. Iโ€™ve followed you since you arrived in Tennessee. Take pride, dear one, you have learned and accomplished so much. Itโ€™s truly amazing. You might try resting for the winter ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚โค

  15. You hate to see the garden go this time of year, but itโ€™s always beautiful in its own way! The flour corn looks great for a late season 2nd harvest.. You will definitely have some ears! looking on track ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘ thanks for the tour

  16. I pray in Jesus name for healing of your knee and encouragement for your spirit. Psalm 91 over all believers. Blessings on your family.
