  1. Do we ever get as much done as we'd like?
It looks great JB. As long as you feel good at the end of the day and go home with a bit of food, that's reward enough IMO.
    Blessings from Ontario.🙂

  2. Great video JB. Plot is coming together, you have had other things like the the polytunnel build to contend with. Hoping your subscribers reaches 10k soon !

  3. Hi JB, I think the plums could do with a good hard prune, reduce some of the long length of the branches. You might miss a year of fruit but I think it will improve the heath, and also improve ventilation. Plus I would clear a ring around the base of the trunk and feed with fertiliser and mulch. I think all these things would improve their health. The poly tunnel is nearly done, as the days start to cool it will be a great space to work and film in. One small question are you still hoping to have a greenhouse at home? And will we see a small update how your dads plot is going, thanks.

  4. Well done on tidying the plot, looking good JB. I really need to do the same with mine but struggling with time at the moment 😢 I think it’s easy to get overwhelmed and start jobs but not finish them and then you can’t see any progress- this is me at the moment hopefully I can get it sorted for spring if not I may have to think about giving the plot up😢

  5. If those plumbs were mine, I'd give a hard prune being pretty ruthless, lower than 5ft concentrating on leaving a goblet shape/main scaffold, then a couple of handfulls of rocksalt sprinkled round the bottom covering a 3ft dia circle, cardboard on top and a good 6" of woodchip to finish it off, next yr summer prune new wood to 4-6 nodes, mite sacrifice some fruit next yr but it'll benefit in the long run.

  6. Another great video can’t wait to see the poly tunnel finished is that Steve’s big sweetpea bed you have also. He will looking down and having a wee giggle ❤

  7. I’m having a lazy hour watching you work waiting for inspiration to get going. Well done you.😊👩🏻‍🌾✅

  8. I might try the black strawberry but blight has really out me off tomatoes. Lost all of them this year. Don’t worry about the mess. All allotments are the same this time of year.

  9. Your chuckle and smile keeps me watching, and your openness… you brighten my day and inspire me to get up the Lottie

  10. Hello JB, what a great update (as always), thank you. Your videos are always good to watch, whatever the time of year. I look forward to seeing what you do throughout the winter. As for your plot, I've also failed to clear the bed where I grew my peas, so don't worry. At the end of the day, we have to prioritise and life has a habit of throwing a "curve ball" or two into the mix from time to time. I've grown Radicchio this year (first time), it's been in the ground a long time and with the slightly cooler weather it's turning that distinctive red colour. Apparently, they prefer cooler conditions. Thank you again for your update, paul

  11. I've noticed the plum trees that have the heaviest crops have been worst hit this year with a wet July. You could try thinning to see if that helps. I think I'd be taking the tree with no leaves out and summer pruning next year to relieve congestion.

  12. Hi JB, nice jobs on the tidying 👍 the time goes nowhere when you are busy clearing. Also an opportunity to plan for the new season too. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊

  13. Actually, I just now started watching again. I get real busy in the spring and summer so I don’t have a whole Lotta time to watch Garden videos but now the fall is here and clean up in the backyard is almost complete. It’s all about watching what everyone else did throughout the year and possibly give me some new ideas for next year
