  1. Stunning colors …. And yes love the plant movements in the wind… having a wonderful Fall dance in the Cottage Garden 🪴

  2. Keep the Sedum and take some and proagate it to the back. Non brainer and so easy to do. Best of two worlds

  3. I love thunderstorms but they cause my dog so much distress, I can't bring myself to fully enjoy them. I've just discovered that the lantana that I've kept in pots in the summer might enjoy spots in my pollinator garden on my south side of zone 8a in Greenville, SC. Thank you for noticing the sky as so many people just don't ever look up and appreciate the whole world.

  4. Beautiful plantings. Do you ever plant pansies in the fall? The fall is when I plant pansies because they bloom all winter and last until summer gets here. I live in 7b Lubbock Texas. I can't wait until my journal gets here😀

  5. In zone 7a NJ my lantana is only flowering just now ,, it just sat dormant all summer 🤷‍♀️

  6. I liked your former diversity w/the roses – too many boxwood for my taste… SORRY! Pansies last for such a short time. bolting as soon as the weather warms. The roses would've really filled in nicely next yr…

  7. omg. Your yard is just beautiful……you really have a gift and I am 70 and have a very weak back…you must be very strong….do you use osmocote to fertilize. Thankyou for sharing with us. Hugs carolyn from Columbus GA

  8. Have you ever tried baking pumpkin soup in the pumpkin? Its mostly cream butter and guerare cheese. I think I spelled that wrong. Haha!

  9. Your new back garden could really use some of those beautiful redbuds. More shade would be easier to live with.

  10. I loved your old garden and it suited you. I miss it, but I think Sydney is bringing it to another level that suits her too! That yard and home lends itself to always looking spectacular with any style of garden. Your new gardens are also spectacular. I’ve learned so much from you. I love the theme of “The Fairytale Cottage”. To have a party or tea in the back yard would be just a wonderful relaxing time.

  11. I have a sample of "Linda Vater Cottage Grey" on my trim and on areas of Hardie Board and I LOVE the color! I cannot wait to paint my brick and Hardie house "LVCG"! It's going to make our house the most unique for this area. Thank you for the inspiration!

  12. I must give Linda credit for planning this garden, but the execution was done by a team of professionals. For a home gardener to get the same result in such a short time is unrealistic.

  13. Hi Linda, I love the before and after of your gardens. I vote to leave sedum where it is on Autumns Edge. Thank you for filming these videos of your life and gardens 😊

  14. I concur. The lantanas performed great during weeks of 90° weather

  15. I love your gardens! I’m in St Paul, Minnesota and we have a terrible drought, urban heat prevents rain here. 😢 I’ve got to look at doing fake grass and heat tolerant plants. Is your grass real or faux?

  16. Your garden looks amazing! I appreciated seeing your old garden and I didn't realize how much I missed it until you replayed an older clip. It's amazing what overhead trees do for a space!

  17. Lovely. The thunder is comforting. The gardens both front and back are exquisite. You have a wonderful vision and thank you so much for sharing and teaching❤

  18. Sedum like dry (you got that) sunny afternoon spots best. Suggestion: take half of it and do a test spot in back.
