Gary Pilarchik: Planting Mesclun Leaf Lettuces in a Basic Scatter Plot Method – My 1st Vegetable Garden – MFG 2013

Welcome to My 1st Vegetable Garden. This channel is 100% dedicated to new vegetable gardeners that want to learn and have lots of questions. I will teach you how to seed start, plant, tend and harvest vegetables. Please subscribe!

Lettuces are cool weather crops and can even take some frost. They are 90% water so you need a soil that holds moisture for them. Nitrogen helps because lettuce is a leaf vegetable. A scatter plot is a good way to grow mesclun and baby lettuces. This is NOT a method for growing full sized heads. It works best for leaf lettuces.

Please help spread the world of my channel to all the new gardeners you know that are looking for a friendly place to learn. Have questions? Leave them in any comment box and I will get back to you in 24 hours.
