Easy Gouache Painting Tutorial // Japanese Garden

Today I have this super Easy Gouache Painting tutorial for you which is inspired by Japanese gardens during the bright green summer months. This simple painting will teach you how to paint and layer leaves, add some black details to your paintings, and layer over a dark background.

I know the style of this painting is a little bit different from my typical gouache tutorials, but I hope it will give you fresh ideas if you’re looking for new topics to paint! As always, I’d love to know what you think about the tutorial and any ideas and requests you have for the future ❤

  1. Hi guysss! I hope you enjoy the video! ^^ I was thinking about doing a watercolor flower painting for next month (maybe a bigger flower study?), so all of you who've been asking for watercolor tutorials as well, please know they're coming 🙂

  3. That came out fantastic and so pretty. I like both of your versions. I can't help but wonder why Guache is so popular now. I have a lot of acrylic paint, and have not bought any guache, but all I see are artists using Guache. Do you prefer Guache to acrylic and why? Thanks for a fun video.

  4. Just love your videos they are easy and well explained, I painted all your tutorials and they are amazing, thank you soo much

  5. I loved doing this tutorial! I ended up doing it twice because I did not like how the first one turned out ( I did it on black paper) so I re-did it and it is just so pretty! I can’t wait to see the watercolor tutorial you do!

  6. I followed your tutorial and my painting came out looking phenomenal! Your technique was so easy to follow and the colors blend so well together 😌

  7. It's not a "cheating method" it's common sense to use the tape for a circle, I love your art and your personality, thank you so much for making my gouache journey easier 😊 💜👍🏾

  8. Ah this one is amazing Anna! Now I have a lovely card for a birthday friend. I'll be painting this one again – pink flowers would be nice too🌺.Really appreciate all the time and effort you put into these tutorials 🙏.
