Welcome to our October allotment garden tour from our allotment gardening for beginners UK 2023 videos. In this allotment and vegetable back garden tour we will see what we are growing and harvesting this October. The weather has been very kind to us recently so we have a lot of vegetables still growing on the allotment and back home in our veg patch and greenhouse.
We have a video on what can I sow in October and we are still waiting to plant our onions and garlic ready to over winter them. Knowing what to sow and grow each month helps us produce food all year round. We have some easy vegetable gardening tips for beginners each month to help everyone that wants to grow their own food.
There are a lot of allotment jobs for October even though the ground is getting colder. Today we will see that we have started clearing some room to plant the alliums over winter and still have a lot of tidying up to do before the end of 2023. This allotment plot is never the tidiest but always produces lots of food.

I'm really enjoying watching the year pass in your garden and allotment. I've recently picked my tomatoes but like you I still have fruits forming. What will you do through the winter months? It would be interesting to find out, so I'm looking forward to that.❤
I've been subscribed for a couple years now? Awhile for sure. I appreciate your can-do attitude, practical advice, and the steady camerawork. Also you are lovely!
wow that aubergine is the best i've ever seen in the UK, you must be seriously proud of that one! the size of the fruit too, incredible, well done!
This has been my first year growing my own veg in the garden and I've really enjoyed your channel and learnt a lot. I've had some success with potatoes, tomatoes, beets, carrots and red cabbage but I am probably the only gardener in the country that can't grow a courgette! I had several attempts but they were always too weak to survive the slugs. I did manage to get a single plant to survive in a pot but it would only produce male flowers. I shall try again next year!
I subscribed ages ago as i find your videos really helpful & i've also asked you questions which you've answered & its really helped thankyouxx
How do you cook your beans please? Do you have them in a sauce
I really enjoy your videos. I have had a great year growing this year and intend to follow you through out the seasons.
I don’t always see your notifications but I do like to watch and I am subscribed. You had amazing aubergines last year I remember. I am like you and leave stuff as long as I can. 👍🙋🏻♀️
Another great vlog, thank you. I’m copying and leaving mine all up and seeing what else we can pick
