Gary Pilarchik: What is Vegetable Garden Soil pH and How to Use a Digital pH Meter – The Rusted Garden 2013

The pH level measures the acidity and alkalinity of your soil on a scale of 0 -14. Different vegetables like ranges (in general) between 5.5 to 7.5. Most vegetables can grow fine in a pH level of 6.5. I also show you how to set up the soil for testing when using a digital pH meter and how to take reading with the pH meter. You need watery soil, like mud.
