Gary Pilarchik: Identifying and Treating Vine Borers on Your Squash, Zucchini and Vine Crops – TRG 2014

Vine Borers are larva from eggs that are laid at the base of your squash, zucchini and vine crops. The eggs hatch and the larva work their way into the stem. I have found the best method to control them is chemical dust. You can use organic or synthetic as you choose. The moth comes to ground at the base of the stem. Keep the stem dusted 1x weekly and you will stop vine borers.
