HELP! My dinteranthus vanzylii that I just bought seems to be splitting from the base! What should I do? 🥺😭

The new leaves are growing out of the side, ripping and scarring as they go. Theres no sign of its new leaf pair coming up through the fissure of the plant. Whats wrong?? What do I do? 🥲🥲🥲

  1. Not fatal, it will survive. The old leaf is meant to die anyways so it’s fine. What you’re seeing through the split is the new leaf.

I would just plant it in a well drained inorganic soil and leave it alone since it’s in the process of splitting.
