  1. I'm in zone 9b with mild winters. This year, I want to try over-wintering my peppers in the beds and protecting them from the occasional frost during the winter. Aside from transplanting and frost protection, will I need to do anything differently? This was a very good video, thank you!

  2. What peppers lol? Mine got killed by frost a while ago in Indiana. Also, idk where people put them, unless you have a giant sunroom

  3. The grow lights that I have are for seed starting. What brand/model would work well for trying to over winter bell peppers?

  4. it was 82 degrees here in South Carolina today, we have lows forecast in the 30s for the middle of the week. I got some work to do it appears !

  5. My cockatoo loves peppers. I'm glad I have plenty in the freezer for him, but I think this year I'll go ahead and bring a few plants in. Maybe I can get even more to grow next year! Yay!!

  6. I did it with a pepper plant that was given to me. It didn’t produce peppers the first year but I wanted to try them and be able to save some seeds. Worked out perfect and I got a huge harvest the second year.

  7. I'm with babalman. I grow in Zone 10, which I hear is considered the sub-tropics. I've heard that both peppers and eggplant can be grown as perennials "with a little care". Care to share what that care might be? I enjoy your videos. They are very encouraging to those of us that are new to growing our own food. Thank you so much!

  8. Meant to do my this past weekend. Didnt do it, so thought i could do this weekend. We just got snow 😫. It never snows this early. Even my brussel sprouts are under a foot of (soft) snow 😢

  9. I tried this year before last and had a couple of peppers through winter but did ni=ot find it more productive the next summer. It wasn't worth it for me.

  10. Last year I overwintered my Tabasco pepper plant because I didn’t get a good harvest the first year. It was great this summer so I brought it in again. I didn’t cut it back or remove leaves last year, and didn’t yet this year, but I will. It’s huge!

  11. I already pulled my peppers out for the first time this year. After watching your video I feel good about it. Only I used 1 gal pots. Thanks for the info.

  12. I don't think I've ever transplanted my pepper plant and brought it indoors, I usually just leave them be and let nature hold and there usually fine, of course I do live in a warmer climate so if you live in a cooler climate I would definitely do this 👍

  13. Thank you I have a jalapeno plant that has been doing well and was born in a worn bin. So I am going to try this. Your soil is amazing

  14. I have been overwintering pepper plants for the last 5 years and I love it!!! Helps me get through the winter doldrums to have a part of my garden still alive to care for. This year I was able to save 23 pepper plants!!! I used a variety of sizes of pots, so any pot bigger than a 1 gal got 2 or 3 plants!!! Altogether I have 14 pots of peppers 🌶️ 🫑 🙌🏼
