My backyard grass project Time Lapse Growing grass in the woods

Early spring 2018 came around and I was ready to get started on the back yard which has never had anything done with it. I cleared the leaves and got my soil tests, results were not good, but I was determined to get grass to grow! 25 bags of lime, 10 bags of 12-12-12, 5 bags of Milorganite later worked into the top 3″ of soil and I was seeding grass. With regular watering the grass was coming in thick! I hope you enjoy the video!

  1. It is now a year or so later. How is the grass holding up? Is it still alive? Thanks for the feedback. Great video BTW.

  2. Hi Kurt, nice work here! I work for a commercial production company (stalkr.com), and we'd be very interested in potentially using some of this footage in an ad for a major vehicle manufacturer! If you'd be open, could you shoot me an email at luke@stalkr.com, and I can give you detail and licensing $ info? Thank you!

  3. Why would you even do that? How is a grass lawn in any way better than native species and leaf litter?

  4. I'm sure this went to hell. I get it you like trees but limb them up and remove some. This isnt hard to do but I would of gone with different cultivars. I have or made something like this but we had 40 to 50 yard par 3`s two greens, fairways but only because the wife wanted some more grass. I it definitely requires more fungicides, less fertilizer and thatch management

  5. Beautiful piece of property. I really like the setting with all those trees. The work u did 2 create the lawn has definitely paid off.
It looks like a blanket of green, beckoning u outside. Probably have birds & visiting wildlife too. Would love 2 c them enjoying all your efforts.
This Oregon viewer appreciates the beauty of the lawn & trees. I hope u enjoy a picnic out there!
