Creating An Evergreen Fall Container & Completing Irrigation | Gardening with Creekside

It’s another full day at Creekside Nursery as I am creating an evergreen fall container in the ever-popular water trough, and Jerry and Jackson are completing the irrigation in the Proven Winners Signature Garden.

  1. Do you know how long those big metal containers last using them as a planter? I suspect with all of the water going into them, that they will soon rust?

  2. Hi Jenny, Is your sweatshirt from Anderson University in Indiana? My daughter went there. Love the trough <3

  3. Jenny, everything is looking so beautiful! The fall color, and the gorgeous planter. I’m excited to see all the things you do in this new signature garden as well! Is that Crowder’s Mountain that I saw in the drone footage? You live in a gorgeous area! Happy gardening!

  4. Wow you guys knocked that out !!! Was Jerry a engineer before gardening I’m a newbie but that is a lot of thinking for irrigation❤

  5. Love the plants!! I had put an evergreen in a pot a couple winter ago and it did not survive 😞 I think we got too cold! Short time we had 15 below zero, we are in zone 5 northern Indiana, about 30 minutes from Lake Michigan.

  6. Love your family run nursery and mutual help gardens. It makes me smile and I love that I can order online and have it arrive at my door in great shape states away! Thanks Creekside.

  7. Beautiful container, Jenny! Nice new drone footage. I love seeing the magical fall color!

  8. I love your beautiful dog and the trough planting! I get such inspiration from your videos. Quick question, when the specs came up on screen for the tea olive, it read zones 8-11. Will it survive the winter, especially in a container? Tia

  9. Jenny,
Trough looks great, but…no spiller? What about adding something like a variegated ivy as a spiller? Also, when Christmas nears, adding some dried branches w/ red berries among the beautiful dark green of the Osmanthus & Cryptomeria (spelling?) would be soooo very festive (love Christmas add-ons in the garden! 🎄). 😊
