  1. I’m new here & curious if this unit was loud? I was going to purchase the Sharper Image one until I seen all the complaints about how super loud it is… thank you! 🪴🪴

  2. How do I keep the garden from growing mold and algae? I have one in my classroom and the mold and algae are terrible. I tried cleaning the whole system and in a week it is horrible again.

  3. I love Aerogarden, but another “con,” is that you really can’t successfully grow any root vegetables with these units. I’ve seen some YouTubers try it, but the results are usually weird-looking or “stunted” growth veggies. Also, Aerogarden does not recommend this.

  4. Apple cider vinegar and a couple drops of dish soap in a shallow dish will take care of those gnats. Good review. I see I can't grow my medicinal plants with this. Thanks for the review

  5. Thank you Jackie. Could you grow rosemary, mint, parsley, and basil in this since the light doesn’t rise that high?

  6. I use mine usually in February March to start my seeds (I have a 12 pod off brand aerosgarden and a container garden). During spring and summer, I use it for most of my propagations. I will remove the sponges and put my propagations in the baskets. I currently have some string of hearts, turtles, zigzag cactus, green onions and some pothos.

  7. Thank you for the video. Im getting one now. You gave a lot of information. Is it just for herbs? I hope they're sending you stuff for this. im sold. I use a lot of Basil and Oregano, in spaghetti & meatballs and homemade pizza alone. 👍 New subscriber here. God bless 🙏❤️

  8. You're amazing, girl! I am so glad I came across your video. It was very informative and answered a lot of questions that I had.

  9. Stop spending all that money. Look at the black painted jars used for the kratky, Hydroponics. You will be so happy. It is cheap and simple. The black painted jars will look so pretty sitting on your counter. Look it up.

  10. I know this video is two years old but I love these tabletop hydroponic units. I use generic baskets/sponges and my own seeds. The one exception is I like the Aerogarden parthenocarpic cucumber pods. I have small (4 pod) units with my house plants. I grow micro dwarf varieties in a medium (6-8 pod) unit. I don’t use all the ports on these small/medium units and cover the holes. I use a larger (10-12 pod) unit to start seedlings that I transfer into DWC system. I live in a tiny condo but have five closets. I use the walk-in closet as a grow room. I have separate grow lights for the DWC system and small oscillating fans for ventilation and to help with pollination. I have a very tiny kitchen and don’t have space on the countertop for more than my sprouting jars. The lettuces and herbs fit in nicely with the house plants. I check all my plants daily. They’re my daily dose of mental health care.
