But it does not explain what to do for spring garlic. The garlic bulbs
require a stratification period to multiply well, and without it your
garlic will be small and spindly. The soil in the bags helps to draw
energy away from the bulbs so that they do not freeze themselves. Too
cold and you will end up with mush.
