Just catching this from the start. The way you explain and teach is outstanding. Thank you!
Awesome tutorial. Thank you very much for your generosity
SHELLEY: You teach me so much. How do you keep from cutting or damaging your paper when cutting the tape?
Why not use masking fluide for some or all the leaves? I think it would be easier than all the negative painting, would it not?
Thank you for another wonderful lesson
How timely ~ I was just sketching for an autumn painting. This was so helpful.
ARE YOU NOT USING MUCH WATER WITH YOUR PAINT?
Thank you; this was so helpful. You’ve taught me more than any other watercolor instructor out there. I’ve taken classes from someone who was supposedly a “classically trained master painter” and you’re better. Truly cannot compliment your skills enough.
Beautiful! Would love some holiday card ideas! Thsnks❤❤❤
If you heat your tape with the hair dryer as you are removing it the tape comes off easier and cleaner.
I always look forward to your presentations. Have learned a lot watching you. You are one of the most generous artists out there! Thank you so much.
HI SHELLEY,
YOU MY DEAR ARE AN EXCELLENT AND TALENTED ARTIST !! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL CONTENT!!
THANK YOU, FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE!!
Thanks!
Love this! Thank you! I need this, I’m one who overpaints, too often, trying to get in too many details, then things get muddy. So this is great!
Beautiful colors . Can’t await to finish it .!Thank you so so much 🤗
Good morning Shelley and fellow painters , watching from Toronto, Canada
What kind of pallet are you using?
Excellent work. I learned a lot from you. BTW, at this stage, you remind me of David Hockney.
It’s not really “negative” painting, else your entire “painting” is negative. There’s nothing on the paper until you paint something on it. 😊
I enjoyed your session. I love to see an artist actually paint in the small spaces around objects and not simply put masking fluid everywhere, particularly in a demonstration. It’s about the skill. Plus most beginners / hobbyists just like to paint & enjoy the relaxing process.
Thank you!
Thanks so much! Yea another wonderful lesson. I did it to get practice in negative painting, water reflections, painting masses of leaves, dry brushing, perspective and so on so hoped to improve my painting in general. As a bonus, I got a beautiful, bright autumn painting. Recommended to all.
