    Also I live in an apartment…i have a patio that has NO grass its just concrete πŸ™ do you have ideas for stuff I can grow/plant? I appreciate the help. Thanx!! πŸ˜€

  4. Dallas, Texas is a Zone 8A… meaning the average lowest temperature that we get here in winter is between 10 to 15 degrees… still have no idea what to plant that is edible that i can bring in during the winter off my tiny balcony…

    You can go crazy with lettuce, spinach, arugula and other greens. THey are perfect for containers that can be brought in if you have freezing temperatures. Otherwise, they love cold weather.

    You can also plant chives,parsley, cilantro, rosemary, oregano, thyme. Not good basil weather- they are best in summer.

    If you have railings in your balcony, try planting in "Greenbo" planters- they are made to fit on top of the rails. Google "greenbo planters."

  8. What is my garden zone you ask? It's 6b Burnaby, British Columbia. It's December and I still see flowers blooming.
