  1. If grown in a container, what should the soil look like? More cactus-y or just regular potting soil?
Thanks for the great tutorial, and very timely too!

  2. I would add winter savory to the list. It holds up through the summer heat better than the more delicate thyme. Sadly my sage always crumples when the monsoon season arrives. 🙁

  3. Lemon verbena and Vietnamese coriander (Ram Rao) is my favourite herb combination. I use it in everything possible! 😀

  4. Rosemary grows well in my hot and humid climate. I was surprised by how easy it roots, too.

Are you still in zone 9b according to the new, updated USDA zone map?

  5. My poor thyme plant did not survive this summer in Houston Tx. It basically turned to ash. It was very sad. I have bought a new one and will try and baby it more. Hopefully next summer won't be quite as bad! The oregano did just fine, though; I've got a big batch in the dehydrator right now.

  6. Great video! I’ve started growing more herbs and most survived this past brutal summer in raised beds in Glendale 9b also.
I’m interested in learning how to dry the herbs successfully without a dehydrator. Do you have any videos on this?
Add marjoram to the list! Like oregano, won’t quit!! I’m envious of your bay leaf plant too!
