  1. Hi Janey, Iam totally enjoying these videos this week. Iam surprised to find out that my zone has changed from 9b to 9a , what?? Iḿ not really sure if that is right for my particular address since I am on the north side of Windsor closer to Healdsburg than Santa Rosa. Iam amazed how many people have YouTube gardening channels, cant wait for Monday zone 9. Sorry to hear your foot pain flared up!!

  2. Janey, I have been in zone 7a, but when I checked my zone by zip code today on the USDA website, it said we were 5b! That is a huge change. I emailed my Master Gardeners for clarification. How can this be?

  3. Hello Janey and thank you so much for featuring my garden ❤ such an honour. I bought my trellis from Amazon UK about 3 years ago, not sure if available over in the US but you could try typing in “willow trellis panel” and something similar might come up. Watch you every day and loving seeing all your new garden plans and ideas. Hope your foot gets better really soon. PS Michael Glassman is adorable, which he was my neighbour!! ❤

  4. Yes, Janie, my zone here in NC changed from 7B to 8A, and now I will allow myself to go after those # 8 zone plants, but plant them in the warmer spots in my garden. Yea!!!!

  5. Janey, thanks so much for the great videos and for mentioning that the hardiness zones have been updated. I live in SE Texas and my zone updated from 8b to 9a!! Not a huge change but I wouldn’t have checked it if it weren’t for your informative video. While this has been a really fun video playlist it will still be great to see you in your garden. I hope you are healing well!

  6. My zone went from 8a to 8b which only tells me I really really am crazy to fawn over blue conifers. I live on the coast of NC so it is more often a question of "will it like our summers?" rather than "will it like our winters?" …exception being plants that need high chill hours.

  7. Hi, Janey
Thanks for doing this series. I am really enjoying seeing everyone's lovely gardens.
For some reason, the USDA zone look up site won't recognize my zip code, so I can't tell if my zone 8b California garden has changed or not.

  8. Janey, I hope you are healing well. My zone changed from 8b to 9a; Foley, AL. I think the purple plant in Jacob’s garden is Tibouchina or Bears Ear. It’s a perennial in zone 8-9.

  9. Loving all the gardens. I will go back and watch the ones I missed. I'm looking forward to seeing my zone 9a

  10. Hi Janey, 🍂
Glad your on the mend, love ❤ these beautiful gardens hope to see some after you heal completely, not right away, im sure your going to dive right in to your garden as soon as you can. Thanks for sharing these zone gardens. Have a wonderful rest of the day 🍁 🙂 👋 P.S I put in my zip code it said no results, am I doing it wrong but i done think so

  11. This has been so interesting with the zones. I've only lived in MN. So amazing to learn about the different gardening zones. Thank you so very much for taking us along on these garden tours. Praying for healing in your foot.

  12. Hi Janey! I remembered you were complaining about a fly in your garden shed with you. To greatly reduce flies from entering indoor spaces, get some bars of Irish Spring soap, original scent. Hang the bar at the door on the outside by putting it in a cut up and tied leg of pantyhose. Flies hate the smell of it and stay away from the doors. We even it hang the soap at the opening of the dog door, so the flies won’t follow the dogs in the house. I get the Irish Spring and pantyhose at Dollar Tree here. I tend to replace these every spring and keep them up all year.

  13. Love your videos & showing us continually how to garden right where we are. Thank you. Sweet Tomato Vine Homestead on YouTube not sure if you heard of her has amazing raised beds and container gardening videos she literally is feeding her family from her backyard.

  14. These garden tours from the various zones are so wonderful. Not only am I impressed by the gardens, but by the fact that no matter what the zone is, gardeners are friendly and willing to share their knowledge.

  15. I’m so surprised Beaverton Or zone 9a now with the change! Yet I have been planting for zone 6 and they do better

  16. My USDA growing zone went from 9b to 10a. I live in Southern California. It makes sense because I’m just a little too warm to grow hydrangeas. We have lots of little microclimates.

  17. I enjoyed this video SO much! The 1st garden with its gorgeous azaleas and peonies, then The Enthusiastic Gardener's garden, which is absolutely stunning in every season! I'm amazed what Pamela can grow in the mountains–what a beautiful cottage garden! (I love the Sierras, but have always said I couldn't survive in the snow and her pictures reminded me just how true that is.😂) And ending with gorgeous Japanese maples in western Oregon. Wow! I'm still in zone 9b here, in Gilroy, CA. Of course, we can grow some zone 8 plants, (typically with a little babying, because my soil is rather gravelly and drains a little too well during our hot summer weather), but I loved seeing plants I can use with some confidence.

  18. Hi Janie my zones yes zones are now 10a,8b,9a,9b here in Hollister CA im learning from you and Robbie so please carry on since i cant seem to find many trully dedicated local youtubers. I have a small garden space and really like to play with dirt lolhope you get better soon cause i know you miss being out there❤ happy Sunday!

  19. I'm on zone 8! 😀 So this is a good video for me! I mean, all zones so far apply to me ;).

  20. Awe – I was waiting patiently for your zone 8 garden videos and saw the usda zone change. North FL went from 8a to 9a. Sigh. The summers have been so hot. It’s hard to go out and do anything. But we have cooled off for the fall. Thank goodness! I guess I’ll dive into your zone 9 videos. 🫣

  21. These videos are so much fun! I also love having more gardening YouTube videos to watch! Thanks everyone for sharing!
