Detached is the best β¦..question when installing a structure pre-plan do you do the ground/ floor , do you put the flooring down first or put the structure up and then put the floor around it first ?
I'm building a 25×30 open gable detached patio cover in Central Texas. What is the ideal eave height for a patio? 8', 10', or other? On one side, height provides better views of the yard and feels more open. On the flip side, lower eves provide more shade and protection from rain.
For me the best option is the "L" shape but up side down and attached to the house. You'll have seating up to 20 to 26 people and the other end bbq island with a bar seating island (remove the chairs) for a buffet style dining table. If you have a flat lot/land, it wouldn't matter the season or time of day of the event. And for the other side of the area build, maybe, a pool, pond, or some plants and fruit trees. But make it bigger, and go even bigger, so no regrets later when your family and/or your circle of friends grow.

What do you think about the alumawood covers? Do you prefer wood over the alumawood?

You should do Florida covered patios
Your designs are awesome! How should someone treat the wood (over the years after you're done with the install) so it retains that brand new shine?
Can you put a covered pergola on a second story deck to keep water out of my screened porch?
Are any of these possible with a backyard that is only 35βx13β?
Great videos, how much is the standard size of pergolas in your videos or for around 1200sq ft backyard space?
Where is your Market? Love, love love these Designer Patio Covers. Currently have no patio at all. π
The second one at the beginning of the video was great
After watching several of your videos – it appears 2 items consistently ignored are wind and insects.
