My 2023 Thanksgiving Table

While I always spend the week of Thanksgiving at my sister’s house out of state, I do love to envision what my Thanksgiving table would be if I were to be at home. This year, I created a centerpiece made from a cornucopia paired with flint corn, small squash, walnuts, and edible fruit. When paired with turkey plates, yellow glasses, and special occasion silver, it’s rustic and simple and uses only things I already had! I hope you’re inspired to do something similar with your own table this holiday!

From my farm to your home. 🏡

My name is Kaleb Wyse and here, you will find delicious recipes, videos from my farm, garden, and fun home projects. My knowledge has been earned from years of home cooks and farmers in my family. https://wyseguide.com

A farm is much more than a house to live in; it’s a lifestyle. My passion for gardening and landscaping came from outdoor work with my mom in our expansive farm yard, my love for baking came from innumerable short walks to my grandma’s house to make cookies, and as a farmer, my dad taught me that we are the stewards of our land.

So whether you live in a city center or have decided rural life is for you, I hope to inspire you with the projects and recipes I use in daily life. We can’t all live on a farm, but we all need farms in our lives. From the dirt in my vegetable garden to the flour in my kitchen, I’ll show you everything I love to do.

  1. I miss decorating and displaying pretty table ware. When we moved I had to get rid of the majority of "fun items". I do grieve the loss and I think part of my identity went too.
I love how you enjoy celebrating ocassions. 🦃

  2. Hope you will get a chance to show us how to carve a turkey before the big day. Your turkey and stuffing looked very good. And don't forget the turkey tail for the guest in honor, and the fried turkey liver tastes for everyone.

  3. Our table is only 6 feet by 4 and a half feet. No room for decorations between the food and platers and bowls, and everyone's place setting and glasses.

  4. I love this table! It looks beautiful and so inviting. I have my plan for my Thanksgiving table and can't wait to set it. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!!

  5. I love your maximalist style, all the beautiful colors, textures, shapes and sizes. It all adds so much ambience and makes it special. Reminds me of my childhood family Thanksgivings.

  6. Caleb, may you and your family have a blessed beyond measure Thanksgiving!!❤. Your table is gorgeous!!!

  7. Love the table scape! I am also a maximilist. More is more.
I understand about using special dishes or dinnerware, etc. at the holidays. My parents had a set of "good" dishes that only came out of the hutch for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. I have them now and I may just use them this Thanksgiving!
God bless and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  8. I love it! There's always too much going on at my table for the holidays as well, lol. But that's what makes it festive and my family appreciate it. Love your Johnson's brothers plates. I also have a few vintage pieces that I treasure. Happy Thanksgiving 🧡🦃

  9. When I first moved to the country it was a dream come true. I'm a big, burly guy. It was peaceful, beautiful, cows mooing, orchards blooming, so lovely.
The first time I saw a mouse in my house, I screamed like a girl.
