Japanese Garden

(Pro.42 – Ep.6) Making a Japanese garden in the center of Tokyo.

In this project, we are going to build a Japanese style terrace.
Using old paving tiles and stones, we have created a very cool garden. Please have a look!

  1. Very nice idea with the sloping, uneven natural stones in contrast to the smooth, shiny stoneware tiles. 👍🏾😎 Greetings from Berlin 🇩🇪

  2. My back was hurting just watching them the team lift the heavy stones. チームが重い石を持ち上げるのを見ているだけで背中が痛かった。

  3. It is splendid that stones relate to each other and yet create textural differences in locations and height. Also creates shadows and light to break up a smooth plane. I really appreciate the attention to all aspects in creating this beautiful garden. Thank you. Peace 💫

  4. It's very gratifying to see the quality of the work of the Japanese people, I have a lot of respect for that!

  5. I used to worry that I prune back trees too much. Then I saw that kurogane mochi and I know I will never need to worry about this again. haha

  6. I love the dynamic effect of the slabs of granite rising like natural escarpments out of the smooth man-made tiles! Wonderful work that frames the beauty of the trees so well!

  7. At first I wasn't sure about the placement of the large slabs of granite but it looks great – can't wait to see the finished product !

  8. Why don't you take off the sacks when planting trees? If you plant it directly, the growth of trees will be very unhealthy!

  9. This is such a unique journey watching this garden come together. These men have great craftsmanship… God bless. I really enjoy the videos.

  10. Really love the use of disruptive patterns and textures. Your eye follows the straight lines and regular pattern of the smooth tile then surprised by the merging of uplifted, angled & elevated blocks of rougher stone tiles. The visual focus is guided downwards and even creates an imaginary continuing pattern interest – beyond the fence
