  1. Luke I live in zone 3b, I have a Saskatoon berry tree in a pot that didn’t get planted this year. I don’t want it to die, what’s the best route to take to keep it over the cold -40 winter?? Should it just be inside or does it need the cold season?

  2. Great advice – I particularly like the microgreen style of growing autumn veges which I will try it when our southern hemisphere summer turns.

  3. Hi Luke..I am so envious of your greens. I love salad!! I mentioned to you before on Facebook about that soil I went and got from the landfield that was composted. O am not getting stuff to grow in it. I planted the complimentary package of salad mix you sent with my order and I cant get anything to come up. I didn't add any other soil to it in my garden bed. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for all the videos. I look forward to them all!

  4. I’m just starting to see the spinach seedlings I planted Nov 18th breaking the soil surface. We’ve had 20s the last couple nights. The Asian greens, onions, garlic, Swiss chard, celery, sage and lettuces also seem to be doing alright. I’m enjoying seeing them spring back after being covered in frost.

  5. I've got lettuces under a row cover, and they look fantastic! It got to 18F last night 🙂 (Iowa, US)

  6. too bad I have average high on the freezing side starting mid october, no plants grow below freezing temps, the spinach tries its best and stays alive but does not grow lol. whatever hapened to your heated garden bed you made??

  7. MIGardener….what is your growing zone? I'm in NWPA and it is snow covered and I can't plant outside now

  8. Have you done a quiche video? I'd like to see how you make 'em in your family. It might be cool to see a separate channel for that. "Cooking with Luke" or something…

  9. dang when did you film this? i'm in northern ohio and we just started getting snow, so probably too late to start anything new. luckily i was somewhat prepared with plants started and some covers, but now i wish i planted more! once the slugs started receding in the fall i realized how AMAZING swiss chard is!

  10. I’m still growing summer plants. Here in cen’ Tex Hill Country. The lowest it hit so far was 35f. With highs in the 60s Thursday a warm front will be back. Bringing highs of mid 70s. And rain.
Last year I didn’t have to winterize my pepper plant’s until January.
This summer was so dry the pecan trees didn’t produce. Ugh. I had to buy pecans from a orchard called Stewart Farms, a farm east of the Hill Country.
I really struggled to keep my 2023 summer crops alive. But once things cooled down in August the pepper, and okra plants exploded.

  11. My garlic finally just sprouted a few days ago i was starting to think something went wrong 😅 looks like its time to bust out the ichlieum red soon

  12. I sowed radish seeds at the beginning of November, and all of them had been growing. But the past few days the color changed and the leaves froze and the color changed. I live in Indiana

  13. Growing year round has been on my bucket list for many years. My problem is when it gets cold my low energy disappears. I have shelves and grow lights to set up in the basement just to see what I can grow in home built growing beds. It's cool there, so greens could do well there. I will have to see what happens. Another excellent video Luke. Thanks for all you do for us.
