  1. I am a seasoned quilter. Enjoy traditional patterns but very bright palettes. I like Tula Pink, batiks, and Corey Yoder and Sherri and Chelsea of Moda fabrics. I use Deb Tucker ways of making most blocks. Find it super accurate. Finishing a bunch of tops right now. I also enjoy EPP and applique. I normally use needle turn. I bought Appliquick years ago at an AQS show in Daytona FL. Need to relearn them so look forward to your. videos.

  2. Oh, I really love all your choices of fabrics for your new quilt! 🙂
I don’t consider myself a quilter, but many years ago when I was a member of a local needlework group, I hand-pieced a few quilt blocks, and put together a small wall hanging that I also pieced and quilted by hand, which I enjoyed doing. ♥️

  3. I love your quilts! So pretty! Your choices for The Raven are beautiful! I made The Raven years ago with the original fabrics and I cherish it – my favorite quilt. You will enjoy piecing The Raven. Anxious to see your progress!

  4. Hello Olivia! Thank you so much for showing your fabric for the Raven quilt… I honestly gasped and am surprised my family didn't come to check on me 😊 Your other quilts are gorgeous of course. I started quilting several years ago but had to stop due to nerve issues in my hands…they are feeling much better so I might give it a try again. Take good care, Laurel 💖

  5. I am loving the fabric choices for the Raven….i really really like the red your choosing for the house instead of the purple! Oh my that gorgeous red and white sawtooth star quilt❤️❤️❤️❤️

  6. I bought the book for Raven and pulled some fabric but it is WAY out of my league, I still want to do it but really trying to wrap my brain around it and it will definitely be scrappy. I am an excited beginner quilter which can either be good or get me in a lot of trouble lol! Thank you for showing your quilts. I want to do a half square one and I was hoping that was what that quilt was and I want to do a trip around the world which will give the same effect of that 2 inch quilt you have. Sometimes the simplest quilts are so exciting to me and I hoped that was what I would see…although now I want a sawtooth star one lol

  7. Olivia, your plans for quilting are great! I love your color palette. I have made a few quilts – mostly scrappy, and 2 Bonnie Hunter quilts.

  8. Ok. Second round of saying YES this is the year. I’m in. And happy that you said you’re carrying the appliquilt in the shop. I get anxious asking in local shops as many interject and to many voices sharing at once just overwhelms ne and I’m unable to slow my thoughts down and make decisions. So yay looking forward to your videos regarding. It will be a jan start for me.

  9. Thanks for sharing your Quilty goodness. I was just chatting with a quilt buddy who had custom long armed The Raven for a client. She showed pics and it was gorgeous! Can’t wait to see yours come together. I’m planning 2 January starts: Hopes Journey sampler by Betsy Chutchian that Katy of Sew Tattered showed and also the mystery transparency QAL with Modern Quilt Studio. Those should keep me busy🙂

  10. I had already chosen my fabs for The Raven…..just slow getting it started. Thinking I’d like to join in! Loved the video today!

  11. I’m thinking you have something in your stash to add to the Garden Home if you are short on fabric!😂 I haven’t touched my sewing machine in months. I’m hoping with the cold and snow I will be motivated. Your Thanksgiving meal looked yummy. Thanks for answering my question about the evolution of the bakery. I love the backstory.

  12. wonderful quilty video! I sill definitely be joining the raven sal with my wool version kit. I have the background square ready from 2 years ago…🙄Thanks for the opportunity to join with awesome flosstubers! My quilting has been at a standstill due to life and parental care Thankfully my cross stitching helps the anxiety. LOVE Kathy Schmitz quilts. I have several of her projects also in the wings. On the treadmill while I watched today and after I will go dig up the raven! Peace always.. I understand..❤

  13. I don’t currently quilt but I would love to learn. I always worry about how to secure threads if you need to change bobbins or spools. I sew a little and prefer my vintage singer sewing machines from the 1900-1960’s

  14. What a genius idea for changing to the red for the Raven! It is going to be beautiful. Well I am making plans for 2024 and taking the top 5 quilts I want to make and marking up my calendar! Yes would love to see more quilting videos. I love it all. Many Blessings during this "busy" time of year. I am doing my best to gearing it down to make for a gratitude and thankfulness and Joy of what all the Lord has given me in hard times and good.

  15. I love watching people share their quilting. I have never done it myself but I'd love to. I have bought some fabric and I've started cutting out squats for a very simple baby quilt. Hope I finish it and it turns out ok!

  16. Olivia, your quilts are beautiful! I’ll look forward to your new quilting, AFTER you get the scout patches sewn on 😁. 🪡🧵☮️🎄

  17. So many great quilts! I’m collecting fabric for The Raven too! I’m thinking a combination of wool & cotton. It will be fun to see everyone’s version.

  18. Ohhhh, I am so excited about seeing more of your quilting!! 🥳🥳🥳your quilts are so classic and beautiful! That raven quilt will be chefs kiss I am working on a Garfield inspired quilt for Quintin currently. Almost as iconic as a Blackbird quilt, but maybe not quite 😉Hugs to you, my sweet friend! Xoxo

  19. Your quilt is going to be beautiful and love your fabric choices for the Raven. Your 4 quilts are so pretty and I have always admired the quilt with the half square triangles that you made. Thank you for sharing

  20. I love seeing your quilting! I wish I had more time for both quilting and cross stitch. Tonight I made a small Christmas table runner for my island. I just need to finish the binding. I have a Christmas quilt that just needs binding also. I hope to have them done this weekend when I get the house decorated.

  21. Love your choices for the Raven; you have a wonderful eye for color. I love all your quilts and look forward to both quilting and cross stitch videos. I was working on a baby quilt as I watched and you are the best company. All the best.

  22. Those quilts will be gorgeous! I am interested in quilting. I watch many videos. Guess what? I’m afraid of my sewing machine. I know. It’s sad. I will learn it all someday. Meanwhile, I happily cross stitch. Your family’s Thanksgiving looked beautiful. Congrats to your parents on their lovely tablescape. Happy creating!

  23. The fabrics for your Blackbird quilt look great . Excited to see as you work on it, as I have only done wool appliqué. Thanks for showing your finished quilts , they’re beautiful !

  24. Oh my gosh! The red is going to make that quilt. I would love to see a picture of the inspiration for that. Love, love all your other quilts. I’m inspired to do a HST like you have on your sofa. I’ve been admiring it for a couple of videos. I agree, the last quilt is a stunner! Really love that one too. I guess I will have join you on the Raven SAL. 😊😊😊 How can I deny such a sweet face when you mentioned it?!? ❤ January, right?

  25. Hi Olivia. I was compelled to leave you a comment after watching your estate sale video and this one. I have been quilting for a very long time. It's been my passion for about 50 years ( you might be figuring out my age!) I have shared your video with many of my quilting buddies as a reminder to us all, that we might not finish all of our projects or use up our fabric collections, but there are young women, like yourself, who will think they have won the jackpot when they come to our estate sales one day. We make no excuses for unfinished quilts or for buying fabric or patterns or kits that sparked our creativity. Many of us have worried about what will become of our treasures. Who will find the pleasure that we did? Your recent videos have filled us with a sense of hope and reassurance that our passion for stitching and creating will be carried on. Many of the books and patterns you bought at the sale are currently sitting on my shelves as some of my favorites. 😊. Continue to have fun. I am! I thoroughly enjoy your videos, and yes, I cross stitch, too. Why not.

  26. Thanksgiving looked wonderful.
All of your quilt are beautiful.
I sew a lot, but would love to start quilting.
    I'm open to any suggestions.
I thought maybe I should start with a tablerunner?
    Marilyn

  27. Thanks for showing all your quilts! I really like simple, scrappy quilts right now like the 4 you showed. I took a beginner class in September and used Rustic Gatherings fabric by Primitive Gatherings. I've been adding Cheddar and Coal ll, Urban Homestead and Joyful Gatherings (Lisa Bongean) to my stash. I need to start another quilt soon before I collect too much! Oh, and I bought a beginner kit by Missouri Star using Back to Basics fabric from Kansas Troubles. I cross stitch and crochet too.

  28. I love your color changes for The Raven! I'd had the same thought to change out the purples because I'm not a purple girl and the prim reds are my favorites. It's going to be beautiful! I've been collecting fabrics for Blackbird Designs Halloween 1904 quilt and would like to get that going next year. Enjoy your quilting!
