  1. I am happy to see you out and about. I have missed seeing your garden and what was going on. Just be careful and don’t mess up what the Doctor did. I know it is hard you can see so much that you want done. Take it easy things will wait on you. There is always tomorrow it want it done in a day. If you do it all today you want have any thing to do later.

  2. All them leaves in your yard can be used as a mulch. Wish I had some leaves like that. They can also be used in a compost as well.

  3. Does anyone know if they did anything to make sure Monte doesn’t have access to the heliotrope? Sorry if she already addressed this and I just missed it. I only worry because heliotrope is a plant that ranks up there with azaleas and has been known to be fatal to dogs.

  4. I'm so glad you addressed not cutting back the helliotrop. I live east of Sacramento and we've been getting frost for a couple of weeks and my plant looks terrible

  5. Hi Janey,
Congrats on getting back on your feet! You must be SO excited to get your hands dirty!
Clearing out the long bed surely wasn't exciting, but good job Milo & Issac. I wonder if you've thought about removing the not-so-great apricot, so you can put a solid wall of tall trees there. You have plenty of room in the orchard or the front bed for starting a new apricot. I'd love to see that solid wall of tall green that Michael recommended.

  6. Hi Janey,
Have you thought about putting tulips in the zigzag planter with chicken wire over them for protection from the critters?
Daffodils would look great along the driveway and the dry creek bed and they could stay to naturalize. I think you'll be happy to keep changing out the zigzag planter, but daffodils will do better if they're planted to stay.
Your Chinese Pistache is fabulous! I'm glad it meets your dreams and wish I had room for one.🙂

  7. I love the living gazebo! It's unique and would look good while the greenery is growing, as well. It might be challenging to maintain, though. That's a BIG decision, so take your time to be sure. That's one thing in your garden that can't be moved if you don't like it!😂

  8. Your paths, why landscape cloth under the decomposed granite? I’ve never heard anything good about using landscape cloth. If you have to pull any weeds, it’s a nightmare.

  9. Great to see you back on two feet !
1000% black for the gazebo. Or pergola ?
Watch you puppy !!! Especially by the gate. Dog lover here , they can move quick !

  10. Janey so happy to see you walking. Your front entrance looks great. Love the Little Ollies . I to also like Purple Fountain Grass. I have Fountain Grass in two pots that are surrounded by orange & red Mums that are no longer orange and red but there’s little green leaves left that look ok for this season. Your veggie garden is thriving! Thanks for showing us your Cherry Drop Coleus. I really like the color 🩷💜♥️

  11. It was so nice to see you walking around your garden today, you looked so excited and happy that it made me smile and so very happy for you. It has to be somewhat frustrating to have to go through so many obstacles before you are able to accomplish what you were expecting to do beforehand. Once you start adding all the extra expenses some things have to be pushed back or changes have to be made, I understand that very well. Monty is so handsome, I’m sure that he keeps you very busy 😅

  12. So happy to see you are walking🥰🥰 your gardens are moving along! Maybe you could use a golf cart or some other vehicle to get around your huge property😊

  13. Janie I love the color of your front door can u reply to me the brande and color name of your door please!!! Thanks!!! Glad u r in the the boot I had to wear one also I am a retired nurse but I wore it while working and it was not too bad….

  14. Please, for Montys sake, install an invisible fence around the perimeter of your property. You can't keep a watch on him constantly and it would only take a second for him to scoot under the fence.

  15. Would they allow you to paint that propane tank black so it would disappear? Then get some of those metal cut out panels to camouflage it….just wondering

  16. So happy to see you out and about without the scooter! You have lots of energy to put into the garden. Can't wait to see the daffs in the spring. Don't overdo it and pace yourself!

  17. You may want to look for the root flare on that little tree, could be too deep as it may be possible that the dirt has been built up around it

  18. Oh Janey, that black living gazebo is everything! Left me breathless. Good luck making decisions but that gazebo is magical🤩❤ sweet Monty, can’t get enough of him 😊🥰

  19. Oh I am so glad you are up and at it again…….I have been wondering about a solution for the Propane Tank eyesore, that seems to bother you. Might I suggest you plant a bunch of Arbervitae around it = at least 5……and then add some Hollyhocks there too……..with the front in lower growing shrubs. You can camoflauge that Janie……and make it a beautiful corner, with purpose……even Mallow is a wonderful Xeriscape flower, and Zinnea……..lots of solutions…..cannot wait to see how you tackle that..and make it something you can enjoy. But do pick those Oranges girl……

  20. Lynne here. Janey ask yourself which gazebo gives you all the feels ……. I imagine it’s the living one , so what if it takes a few years to grow properly. Our gardens are never complete any way and us as viewers would love come along for the ride. It would be a showstopper.

  21. I really want you to put the fountain by the fence but between Shay and Sadie's windows so they both get full enjoyment from it.
So happy you're back in the garden again!!!!

  22. Janie, I really, really hope you rip out the asphalt driveway in the front area. The whole front and around the curve. You can leave the back area. The asphalt does not go with the look you are going for ( it seams). Put a gravel driveway down and it will look so much better. I know you said you can’t spend the $ but I don’t think it is as costly as asphalt. 😊

  23. Please invest in a GPS tracker for Monte. It’s the fastest way to track him down when you are still wearing your boot. 😢He will test you by running away more than once!

  24. Welcome back just in time for Christmas. Just FYI know you're just getting back but video was moved around quickly if can slow down when moving would be great. Thanks for posting.😊

  25. Hey Janey. Everything looks fantastic! I'm so excited for you to finally be able to walk again. I spotted a caterpillar on your broccoli at 28:40, along with the hole he ate and his droppings. You might want to get out there and spray BT. Thanks for the tour.

  26. Congratulations Janey that boot was made for walking welcome back to your garden. Christmas came early I’m sporting your new merchandise – love it.
