Hi it’s Mar Ellen welcome back to my channel if you’re new here thanks for stopping by so 2024 is coming I already filmed my catchall setup video so you can go check that out along with my planner lineup and the planner lineup will go into a little more detail about

Why I’m doing what I’m doing here but um I’ll go over it quickly with you as well so this is my creative Journal of course this is not my creative Journal cuz it’s sort of in pieces right now but I’m creating my creative Journal this past year I have switched up happy planner

Layouts pretty much every week in my journal and I decided that this year I didn’t want to do that anymore while I loved switching it up and while it was interesting and kept things fresh this year oh my gosh you have Bumble grumbles if you’re new here that’s my dog Bumble

And she grumbles occasionally um so this year I decided to do something completely different and create my own happy planner bullet Journal so I’m going to be taking blank pages from this and putting it into this creating a whole new Journal so let’s get to it I really love this cover this came

Off of a horizontal planner last year I think and I just think it’s so pretty I love the fruit theme and this year all pretty much I think all of my planners are going to be like a peach color just to have a cohesive theme and one of my

Patrons actually reminded me that peach is the panone color of the year so that really makes sense that was a happy accident okay my dog’s going to sit on my lap for a minute while I film this because like I said grumbles so I’m basically going to do a whole blank bullet Journal

Situation only using a happy planner instead of a bullet Journal so I’m going to take Pages out of this this is a happy plans and notes I don’t know if they’re available anymore I couldn’t find it on Amazon but um you can use any kind of plain paper that you punch or

You can use happy planner paper from you know just filler paper that you get they do sell paper separately but I just thought I would take it out of here since I had it and I like the lined paper I also like the the middle is really really basic with just these

Lines so what I’m going to do is like I said use plain paper but the other way I’m switching it up is I’m not going to use dividers so this is going to be a fullon Journal situation that does not have dividers for the months what I’m going to do each month

Is make like a a monthly page just to designate that the month is starting but no dividers in between I think it’s going to be a fun change for me just something really different the other thing I thought I would do with this journal is that each month I’m going to

Switch up the color scheme or the theme so like January might be light blue spreads February might be spreads with all Hearts something like that so that it’s sort of cohesive for each month throughout the year and I think that’ll be really fun to flip through at the end

Of the year and just see all the different themes that I chose and um I’m just going to make bullet Journal spreads I just found that the weeks I did that last year I liked the best because I had the most freedom to do whatever I wanted and um I’m very very

Excited about this this is going to be really fun for me so here I have a planner that I’m just going to take the discs off of because I don’t have have enough clear discs to use for this planner so I’m going to take this one

Apart and use the discs I really love these clear disc because they match any spread at all so let’s pull this baby apart I don’t want to throw away any of this but I’m going to put it aside when I’m done using planners and this one is

Still a 2023 2024 so there is going to be some pages in here I could possibly use but when I’m done using planners I do pull them apart like this I save the dividers I save the discs and I save the covers and I recycle the pages

Usually if it’s a really cool layout like this one is one of those vertical line layouts I may save some of the pages so that I can redate them it just depends but if it’s a regular you know vertical layout or something I usually don’t save them just because I have um a

Lot of planners and I try to you know conserve space as much as POS possible but I always always save all the parts so that um I can reuse them so this video is probably going to be kind of short although maybe I’ll make a year page in the beginning of the planner

That’s what I might do so we’ll set these aside and let’s put this bad boy together when I put together a planner with new discs and stuff I always put the front and back on first first and then I put the guts in after that it just makes it a little bit

Easier I just think this cover is so so so cute and I was so excited to see it in my stash and use it because I don’t use a horizontal planner and that’s what this was so I pulled this one apart ahead of time this

Is probably not going to be all of the pages I need but we’re going start with this I don’t think I’m going to make a name page I think I’m just going to make a year page I obviously am going to know that this is my journal and you know I don’t

Have to have my name in it you know what I mean now as the year goes on I may realize that I don’t like the lines and maybe I will switch it up to do grid paper but um for now I’m starting with the lines because I think I like the

Fact that even if I don’t have stickers on everything there will be lines to write on we’ll see how I feel though since um you know this planner is obviously super customizable it is very very easy to switch and that’s what I love about disbound planners in general is that you

Can always pull Pages out you can always add pages in to suit whatever you need and to switch it up if you’re not happy with the way you set it up in the first place and um it’s less of a commitment issue you know I used to have like commitment problems

With my planner like am I going to like it this and that oh no if it was a coil bound but this is just you know well I don’t like that I’m going to put something else in there okay she’s a thin one but you know like

I said it’s probably not all the pages for the year I did not count them so I guess what I’ll do I was going to do a name page that was like a cross to but I think I’ll just do it like this because this is the first page so so let

Me take this off maybe I’ll use a piece of Doc grid paper for the year page I think I will use the line because I’ll put the year here right and then this will be January and I’ll do a double page for each month that comes up and then maybe

What I’ll do on the month pages is write memories that happen throughout the month H or from the month before I have to think about that I could also put photos on it make this sort of a combination memory planner Journal I’m not great with printing out photos I

Tend to forget about it um but that’s a possibility what I could do sorry I’m just thinking my way through this because as I set up I I you know obviously things change what I could do is put January across here with the design or whatever and then at the end of the

Month I could come back and put photos or memories from the month on the page and that way when I see this page for January it is the things that happened in January sometimes with my currently Pages it gets a little bit confusing well not for mine but sometimes you guys

Are confused by my currently Pages because I’m filling them out way before the month starts but I know that and as long as I keep consistent I know that like the January currently page is going to be December stuff like end of December stuff but this way it will

Actually be things that happen in January so I really like that idea so we will do a year page on this piece of paper so let me think about this maybe I’ll get some stickers all right so I saw this sticker it says this year looks bright this is

From a big Mambi stick pack that I got at Joann’s it’s the squad girls I love this and it makes sense for like a new year so I have some washi tape too and we’re going to put some flowers on the page um I think what I’ll do first though let’s

See maybe put like a couple of stripes down here um let’s start with the pink and go into the black I’m feeling a little bit pressured like a pressure that I’m putting on myself because I I like you know the beginning of a planner to look really

Pretty and um you know this is sort of like a name page except a little more pressure because I’m doing this you know completely on my own without any name page from the happy planner I’ve never done this before so I’m finding it to be a little bit scary also I don’t know

About grid on grid but I sort of like the colors they make sense so I’m going to do it um yeah like I I usually have at least a pretty page to start with and then I can just put my name in but now it’s all me so this is I’ve never done

This before so feeling it’s feeling a little um daunting but I think it’s going to be good and let’s just put her right in the middle she’s so cute and then I have the garden flowers Mega happy planner sticker book this is a newer one that just came out recently I think during

Cyber week and I thought I would use these flowers in the back just a couple couple flowers these I thought were really cute and they matched the pink you know I think these are really cute so we’ll put them next to the girl whoops and we’ll do one on this side too

Sort of I usually don’t like symmetrical things but sometimes I do I’m feeling it now you know I know that’s not really centered either and that kind of bugs me but the girl is centered so I think we’re all right let me get the crocodile punch

This is a punch that you can use to cut out individual holes in your planner after you’ve covered them up with stickers so we just do that and then flip it and we’ll do this one at the Bottom okay that’s really cute I like it a lot so up here we’re going to do the year and I’m going to do it in black and pink I guess to match the whole theme I could do like this but I’m scared to do that it gets like a little tricky doing that

Um H I don’t know if I have any huge number stickers like I want like stickers that are like this I know I have the letter ones hang on let me just take a look okay I did find some black ones but I used all the twos but I do have this

Sheet I think these are a really good size and what I could do is pink green um wait no then it would be pink green green pink it wouldn’t it h unless I want to add yellow in here there is a little bit of yellow down here maybe we

Could make it work and then add some pops of yellow in with other colors I mean with other stickers I feel like this looks more like an O than like a a zero that’s kind of annoying let me try it I can always pull these back up if I

Don’t like them and we’ll then go from there but let’s just do it oh my gosh I hope that’s right I mean it’s not great but it’s not too bad either so let’s just say it’s okay I wish that was more of a zero but I think

It’s okay I think it’s cute good enough right so now I think at the top we’re going to need more of this I wasn’t going to mimic it but well let’s just do it I don’t really hate the yellow I think the yellow’s okay I didn’t really want

To add yellow in but it adds a little nice sunny pop of color and I think that’s good so we will put more of this at the top I don’t usually do a bunch of washi tape lines together like this but why not let’s just do

It and uh I think it’s going to look a really good it’s just a fun start to my journal I like really fun pages I like bright colors so I think this is good and it puts me in a good mood okay so up here I feel like something else is

Needed so that it’s not so line line and so let’s look back in here for more flowers maybe something like this let’s go back and look at that theme again KO put bananas there but that’s just really being crazy so we’re not going to do that there’s those but they’re not quite

The right color see what else is here if I don’t put flowers there what else can I put I’m not sure leaves maybe there’s these ones too and these are the right color but I don’t really think that they’re going to fit there quite the way I want them to um

I wish I had more of like these leaves that I could put in there there’s these leaves though what if I combined these leaves with those leaves that might be enough right I don’t know let’s see I just want to little pop of something there so it’s not really

Boring maybe we put this color more towards this side so that it is away from that do I have enough I’m not sure all right let’s go for it this is taking a risk but we’re going to try it anyway um I think we’re going to need

More of this color so why don’t we cut up one of these flowers I [Laughter] guess just a little pop of it over here like that maybe we can take this part that we just took off that and move it to here maybe and then put this here I think that’s cute let’s

See yeah I like it it it adds a little touch up there and it just kind of makes the page complete I really like this this page I’m so pleased with it so let’s put it in my new Journal I’m so excited about how this journal is going
