Prepping it’s unheard of nowadays it’s there’s a joke there sarcasm folks um we talk about when it comes to preparations of the idea is survival right the idea is is not just survival but to kind of Thrive so that survival isn’t as bad as it could be right I mean

It doesn’t take a lot to survive but the preps and the training and all that stuff makes it a lot better for survival but you know we focus a lot on all of these things that could happen that that it could turn out the this way these scenarios and and how they could

Affect us and I think a lot of times whether it’s conditioning from Hollywood movies or online stories whatever it is we tend to gravitate towards the I don’t know the more exciting stuff you know guns are cool right I’ll admit that they’re cool you know wearing cool tactical gear doing

All this training and stuff oh that’s cool you know um gardening and producing food I mean that’s cool it’s fun I enjoy it it’s like that to me that’s like meditating you know going out and working in the garden walking around Barefoot in the dirt I love it um

There’s a lot of there’s so many good benefits to all that kind of stuff and I’m not knocking any of it but when it comes to surviving a collapsing World which is what we’re trying to do right we’re TR trying to prepare ourselves because we believe or have a pretty good

Inclination that everything around us is going to start collapsing and we don’t know how bad it’s going to be I mean that that’s a big deal we we don’t know how bad it’s going to be but just to be on the safe side we are going to prepare

For the absolute worst the worst thing that could happen because we’ve watched and we’ve read about in history of things collapsing before and we see how bad it can be how low it can get how far the humanity can fall right and based on that a lot of the

Things that we tend to talk about and do in our preparations are are good things but they’re maybe not the most serious core important things that really will mean life or death for us and and what I mean by that is you kind of can break it down into two different things throughout

History and and I’m not an expert but I’mma consider myself s kind of a student of History I kind of like learning about it um if you look throughout history when there’s been times of poverty famine just tough times right you know where where there was less technology

Less modern things knowledge science all that kind of stuff typically there were two things that were the highest reasons that someone would die or um become ill or just have you know a lot of problems usually would end up in death and it wasn’t because someone starved to death

It wasn’t because someone you know didn’t have enough guns or weapons I mean those things happened um it it wasn’t because of a lot of that kind of stuff it was usually one of two things that caused most of the deaths um and that is unclean water you

Got something got sick from the water or you got infected because of an injury and it didn’t even have to be a big injury it could just be a cut on your hand or you got cut on your leg you’re walking by and you brushed your brushed

Your leg on some sharp rock or stick and you slashed your leg open and then eventually you got an infection and then a blood infection and then you died that really those two things right there had a huge bulk of what people died from it really was if you go back into ancient

Times and then if you go to uh more primitive societies today or very very third world societies those still are two very very important reasons uh the causes of deaths um amongst people in those situations and I think often times as Preppers we think we think about that

Kind of stuff we we want to convince ourselves that we’re preparing for those things but those aren’t as exciting as all the other stuff going on all the other stuff that we could be doing you know yeah you know I mean an infection and dirty Waters that’s cool but it’s

Not as cool as all this cool highspeed gear that I can put on run around the woods and train with now I’m not knocking that CU I do those things too but if you don’t have uh the training the skills the knowledge and the equipment the things that you need use

To make sure that you don’t get infections from wounds and injuries and you don’t get sick from contaminated dirty water then that’s like as basic as making sure you have shelter over your head right it’s very basic and so in our preps and when I say

Ours I mean us as a community as a prepper Community we really need to be thinking about that you know we take these two things also for granted maybe more than anything uh even the poorest in this nation can get clean water to drink even the the poorest and the Very lowest in

This nation um can if they choose to they can usually find some kind of way to treat an infection for a wound or something and I know you’re probably going to say yeah but what about homeless and drug addicts and stuff yes a lot of them do get infections and end

Up dying from them but if they wanted it most of them can find some type of clinic or something that they can get uh at least enough care to take care of that infection on their legs so that they don’t die from it this is not a modern problem is the

The point and so we are so far removed so many generations at least a couple of centuries for the most part now there’s exceptions but for the most part for the last 150 200 years most of the modern society Western world um has either a not had to worry about

That much anymore or that the conditions have improved substantially and gradually continue to improve over past history when it came to dying from infections and dying from contaminated water because science started figuring things out and and and Medicine started become available and and ways to purify water started becoming available and so

Those problems became less and less and less in a collapsing World those problems could start to rise to the top of being two very prominant things that we have to face and deal with and so we better have some real solid plans we take it

For granted that if you get a little cut on your hand um you know you know how to clean it you have clean water you you probably have you know soap or some some way to clean the wound if you needed iodine or alcohol or beta dine or

Something like that many of you have access to that in your home already you probably have some type of ointment or cream if you thought you needed to put on it or even you know some of you have savs and things that can help with the

Infection and then if it got really bad there’s either over-the-counter things you can do or you can go to a doctor or an ER or something and you can get medication to fight the infection if it gets worse and 99.9% of the population has access easily available to that and

So much so that it’s conditioned us that the average person wouldn’t even know what to do if you took away the clean water if you took away all the medicines if you took away the Health Care System um you took that all away the average person doesn’t know how to deal they

They they wouldn’t know what to do and so I believe that if we experience a true complete collapse to the Rock Bottom that you could very easily start seeing people once again dying because of infections because even though we have had the scientific knowledge the medical knowledge for excuse me got

Tickle in my throat even though we’ve had the medical knowledge for hold on a second my my my Blackberry sparkling water from Aldi again even though we’ve had the medical knowledge for at least a couple of hundred years or so roughly of how to clean and treat a wound so that it

Doesn’t become infected we’ve taken that knowledge and given it over to government and to through corporations and businesses so now they’re kind of the the the holders of that knowledge so to speak and we just run to them as a people as humans westerners we run to them to make sure

That they get it taken care of we run to the doctors that the ER we want run to the pharmacists or to the stores to get you know proper bandages and things to to clean the wounds most people don’t have a knowledge of how to treat a an

Infection or a wound without all of that if you don’t have access to that stuff do you know how to treat it and so I’m telling you number one you better have a a fairly robust supply of medical stuff um now I’m not talking about a little IAC a little ifac is something

You take with you when you go camping or hunting or shooting or or whatever and it’s for it to use in that moment I’m talking about a supply at home boxes cases of clean sterile bandages and tape and ointments and sterilization anything to put on that wound to keep it

Clean because if you don’t you’re going to start getting infections and then that’s going to be well it’s going to lead to your downfall you’re going to you’re going to start seeing more and more people I just saw in the last couple of days I guess they’ve now outlawed you purchasing fish amoxicilin

Fish antibiotics um I’m not saying what you can do with those but apparently now if your fish gets an infection from some kind of Wound um it can’t be treated even though in the past people have purchased that stuff um to potentially take care of infection from your pet fish that brushes its leg up against a a rock or a stick and gets an infection so they’re making it harder

For people to take care of their fish when the you know collapse happens is if you kind of read between the lines there it it’s only going to get worse people just they don’t think about this you know people don’t keep enough stuff you know at best some homes may have one

Of them little $20 first aid kits from Walmart and so the the possibility of people starting to or the situation starting to be much like you see in very third world countries or in past history where people just got infections all the time and died and they didn’t know how to

Take care of them could become a very real reality the other thing is clean drinking water most everyone in America even though you may not always enjoy your drinking water has access to clean drinking water and we take it for granted like it’s just it’s a right I

Mean it’s just it’s what we’re supposed to have but it’s not always going to be that way and the the the possibility of having contaminated drinking water that that’s a very very real possibility I mean could you starve to death you could but starvation is actually not as common I don’t think at

Least from my research as most people believe yes you know if there famines people can starve from famines uh if there are these Warlords authoritarians that’s controlling the food supply and a lot of times it’s usually both happen at the same time but that’s not really a

Very common thing because most people in desperation of hunger number one you can go a long time before you starve your death but most people when they start getting desperate they’ll start eating things that they would never eat you know bugs worms roadkill rats you know plants things that that you would never

Eat before you’re going to put it in your belly because you’re starving to death boil the leather in your shoes you know that kind of stuff so starvation isn’t as common I mean yes you can be malnourished and it can weaken you and you can cause you to get ill but I’m

Talking about starvation but contaminated drinking water is different that’s still a real big problem it’s still a real big problem all over the world and I assure you here in America it’s going to become a problem again if there is a big collapse uh there was just a few weeks ago that

There was some uranium backed hackers apparently they believed to be that hacked into a water treatment plant up in Pennsylvania so something as simple as a hack could cause the water that comes through your pipes to be contaminated so you better have a plan for that you have have a plan to get

Water because if your only water is coming through some kind of Municipal Source I assure you that’s not good enough so you want to have a plan to get water then you want to have a plan to store water and you want to have a plan to purify water and purifying water is

Going to be a little harder than you think now I’ve advocated over the past years and still do uh a good water you know purification something like an Alexa pure uh if you’re interested there’ll be a link in the description below uh or berky Water Systems uh those

Type of systems work really well on cleaning water with the exception of this and this is true with any any any any water filtration system they those things are tested and they’re designed to work with fairly decent water that just may need to be have some some particles filtered out or some parasites

Filtered out but take for instance the water you see flowing in the creek behind me all the time that water is really clear clean water it’s not disgusting it it comes right out of a spring a couple of hundred yards away from where you see me standing typically

It’s I mean it’s nothing dramatic it’s just the water starts coming out of the ground um so there’s not a lot of runoff or anything but you’d still want to run that through a filter but the water’s fairly clear and so the filter can handle that what if you went to a sewer

Treatment plant okay or some place where there’s chemical strong you know chemical spill in the water uh or or just really stagnant ponds you know that kind of stuff and you run it through I’m personally not confident enough that it would be fine just running it through I would go through

Other steps I would also boil it and I would probably try to chemical treat it and the reason why I’m telling you all this is that we could see water like that in the United States if water treatment plants that treat sewage water and stuff get shut down through to cyber

Attacks or whatever they could potentially start backing up and Al overflowing into wherever and making their way into the water sources where you drink uh in a collapse in a grid down or something like that contaminating lots and lots and lots of water with industrial chemicals and

Human waste and all that kind of stuff meaning that that spring that you see behind my my my house that that Creek uh those Waters well not those because there’s nothing around but Waters in in areas around cities and stuff waterways public open waterways could become extremely contaminated so if your your

Plan is is that you know little Lake that your town has that’s a few blocks from you running down there and getting water out of it uh what are you going to do when all the sewer system starts backing up into that and all the Industrial Waste that comes from the

Hospital it’s all starting to back up and it’s flowing into that that little Town Lake now what are you going to do with that water and so we better have a solid plan on how to sterilize purify the water that we need to drink and I’m telling you in

My opinion when it gets to that point there are no uh filtration systems that you and I could buy or afford that would take care of that on their own you’re going to have to have multiple redundancies to make sure that your water is pure so while this is not an

Exciting subject it is is vastly an important one and if we go through a true collapse these two things that I’m speaking of that were once popular and not popular that were once were once common uh but have been nearly unheard of in our country will become very

Common again and we we better be PL planning preparing for it folks you need to have solid medical uh treatment plans you need to have the equipment you need to have the the stuff the knowledge uh all of that you need to know how to go out here in

The woods and find plants to treat that infection on that leg or that toe or whatever it is you need to know how to create your own bandages and how to sterilize things uh you need to know how to create your own medicines to treat people I’m not the expert and I’m not

Going to tell you how to do that but you can learn how to do that kind of stuff you also need to learn the best ways to take really nasty water water not current American surface water but I’m talking like sewage water and make something out of it that’s drinkable or

Find a way to collect that whether some kind of solar still uh collection there’s other ways but I’m telling you if the only water source in your area is Downstream from some City or something yeah it could become very very contaminated before too long if it all

Starts to fall apart so you need to have some solid plans cuz those two things medical infections of your body and cleaning and treating water that’s going to become a big deal someday and you better have your house in order and ready for that folks you need to be preparing mentally physically and
