This is my first and only conophytum. 27 days after the last watering I bottom watered it as it looked wrinkly and soft. It’s been 5 days since and it hasn’t plumped up like it did after the other times I watered it. Is this normal indoors in winter or should I lightly water again? Thanks for all advice

This may be totally unrelated, but I noticed similar behaviour with my Lithops. Sometimes when they are wrinkled and thirsty, first watering doesn’t seem to help. However, if I water them in few days for a second time, they plump up visibly.
Make sure you have good air circulation (a small fan), with these guys it’s very necessary.
