Idk, that looks like less. But hard to really tell from one single picture.

A strong back will be needed too. Good luck!

Looks like compost. And not 12 yards.

Snow shovel works wonders

You got this! I do this at least once a year. Have a tarp ready, in case it rains. You’ll need a few items to weigh the tarp down. A snow shovel works great, too. I use a cart-style wheelbarrow that lifts and tilts the dirt out. I’m jealous, because the trucks that come to my house won’t dump into my backyard! They dump on the driveway. That shovel looks like it has a wooden handle, which will get heavy. Take your time, listen to great podcasts or audiobooks, and HYDRATE constantly. I use a shorter shovel and pull the wheelbarrow next to the pile. You want to be able to plant your feet, and only pivot your upper body to transfer the dirt.

Some tips if using a wheelbarrow: tip it into the pile and pull the soil down into it with a “rowing” motion.
And also make sure you always set up your wheelbarrow in the direction you want to go after it’s full!
Good luck!

Good luck! I got just 3 yards of mulch delivered last year, and it took me 11 days straight of digging grass out of planting beds, creating one new bed, and spreading mulch to knock down the pile. Hope you have more than that shovel to move it with!

A dozen wheel barrel trips. You’re good.

The highest part in your yard (After spreading) will be where the soil was dumped. 😂

You will either need a tractor or a new back.

you’ll be okay. I did 45 of mulch with my daughter and wife lol

I am not an expert but from videos I’ve watched that looks like 6-8 yards.

Depending on your location, if you have access to a snowblower, I’ve seen hacks that they use to “snowblow” the dirt into a container.
YMMV

I hope you have another shovel. That one isn’t well suited for moving topsoil.

Yes get a 2 wheel wheelbarrow or garden cart . This was my spring for the last 20 years. Have fun

I’ve done 20 yards in 1 day. You can do it. 2 wheel 🛞 barrows help a lot.

My local place charges $200 for 1 day, delivered
I moved 12 yards of 1/4” minus gravel by shovel and wheelbarrow last summer. You got this!
That looks like a nice tandem load. Approx 12 yards. Have fun
Rent a mini stand behind loader with bucket. I was able to spread 20 yards in a weekend. With the cost IMO.
My guy, rent a dingo. 300/day in my area.
The progression of spreading dirt or mulch
1. How am i ever going to move this humungous pile
2. Where the hell did it all go I cant believe I need to another pile…
I’m just not sure if that’s a normal sized shovel to judge scale by, could you use a 🦷tooth ?
How much did it cost and is it clean fill?
Banana for scale.
