I think this would be lower maintenance and it would also be easier to see coming out of the driveway. About half of these plants I mentioned are native to our area in New England. Any other thoughts for this space or ideas for plants?

any suggestions for small to mid size hydrangeas? I tried Bobo, but it grew very little in my zone 5b, NW Illinois garden. Would prefer either a smooth hydrangea or paniculata
