Close call! Will this be the End?

Had a close call with the temperatures last night, but praise the Lord we are holding steady and no damage. The next 10 days look to be mild and more seasonable but nothing below freezing. I know we can get frost and freeze in April but for some reason I don’t think that we’re going to see that this year time will tell. #gardening #raisedbed #vegogarden

  1. I am canning raspberry jam and it’s snowing. I am in central Ohio. It’s rude. lol It was 70 degrees last week. I am going to start my luffas today, my first seeds of 2024. Take care, God bless❤❤❤ you

  2. It shouldn't matter. It's just a number. The plants and animals farm have NO CLUE what time it is. The DAYLIGHT is longer so the idea that it's light when we go to bed… 🤦‍♀️

  3. I had some frost on my windshield at 7 this morning.. Any time the forecast says it will get below 40, I know I will get frost. The last 2 years I have had frost in April 😡 So glad all your plants survived!

  4. Texas Farming: When the Grass turns green, The Garden seed will grow to a lean plant, When the sun starts to burn the Grass the Garden seed will be full and close to harvest.

  5. When living in Weatherford I can remember a pretty heavy snowfall in April. Hope all your crops survived!

  6. I had a frost on my yard this morning. I don't have any warm weather plants out yet so I'm not too worried about the light freeze yet. Glad yours are okay.

  7. Praise Hayah, all you nations! Extol Him, all you peoples (Psalm 117:1) ! // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). …for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).

  8. Don't care for the time change either.Im being selfish, but with those longer hours. I have a neighbor who doesn't respect others who go to bed at a decent time.Im retired, but when I go to my room to relax. And getting up in the morning to see trash either on the street or in my yard from her pesty relatives. Ugh!

  9. I’m so happy my husband just finished our greenhouse.
I placed an oil radiant heater in it…kept it a toasty 60 degrees.

  10. It was 32 this morning here in South Lewisville. I held planting the tomatoes until today. March 10 is Tomato Planing Day this year! Thank you for all you do!

  11. I agree with you on the time change. Waste o time and effort. I'm not a morning person. Fortunately I'm retired so don't have to head to work. I'm for learning time a God's time.

  12. Everything looks great. I bet he sure misses your help during the week. Gardening is a huge job so kudos to Greg for all his hard work. You are hard working Patriots!

  13. Here in central Maryland, we've had some 60's and a few 70's, with 40* nights. Weeks early for us, with a 4/16 last frost date. Oh that Spring fever is sooo tempting! I got a look at our extended forecast and sure enough, 30* nights next week. Usually we have weeks of cold, rainy days at this time. I'm glad I've used this time for Spring yard and garden prep…only. Love watching your progress! Enjoy your "hands in the dirt" time.

  14. Jill, I agree I don't like the change either. I already don't get enough sleep as it is!! They just need to pass the resolution where it stays the same all the time!!!! The only nice thing about the change is I'm not driving home in the dark from work. Everything looks amazing, Jill.

  15. Your plants look great! I planted some of the cherry tomato seeds we bought from you and they all sprouted. Growing a few to give to a neighbor too. When will you start your purple hull peas?

  16. My low this morning was 37 and warmed to 65. I left some summer squash and cucumber seedlings out that I was hardening off and they did just fine. Will leave a frost cloth out to cover them, as I see in my 10 day forecast, 35 on the 19th. Went ahead and planted the cucumbers and a few of the squash today. Taking a chance and hopefully get a harvest before the bugs get them. The cooler temps are helping the broccoli and cabbage along.

  17. If these weather models stay true for next week, Y'all may need to put a heater in the High tunnel. Supposed to be an arctic blast. Stay weather aware.

  18. Our winter was mild also. It was snowing Saturday night then turned to rain Sunday and back to snow this morning. Go figure lol. Looking at 50's mid week. Good luck this growing season.
