Plant Propagation

I tried Orchid propagation method on begonia

I'm not really a fan of the conventional cuttings propagation technique because it causes, somehow, frankenstein-like appearance due to all of those old leaves and stem from the old plant. Of course I use it when necessary, but if possible I do not prefer it.

So I tried a method similar to the technique used when the subject of orchid propagation comes up. Without any expectations, I threw a small piece of branch with a bud on it into the bottle with my begonia cuts that I put in the water. After about 2 weeks, when I noticed that a tiny leaf and a small root emerged from the branch in the water, I took the sprout into the germination box. It has been 5 days now and it is giving a sister leaf.

I think this is the closest method to growing from seed and I wonder which other plants it is applicable to.

I hope the little one is gonna make it!
