I tried to propagate leafless pothos vines using a prop box with perlite but it’s just not going right. At first everything looked fine but then some nubs got brown and started to rot and there was some mold. I rinsed the perlite before starting and placed the nubs with the growth point up. I removed the rotting nubs and sprayed the box with 1,5% hydrogen peroxide to help kill mold and bacteria and then just covered the box around halfway with the lid. But same thing happened again and I had to remove rotting nubs, so then I just removed the lid altogether but the nubs are still rotting?? And kinda look dry at the same time? I don’t know what to do or if I can save anything? Any advice?

I would try again with damp sphagnum moss. Put in a plastic container you can seal like tupperware. Just chek on it twice a week and if it does start to dry spray lightly with water. I’ve had a lot of success with moss.
I prefer smaller clear containers. Like salad containers from Chick-fil-A or fruit chunk containers from Walmart. I have used moss, also sand. I read adding charcoal help with mold. I’ve never had mold. All my props took off. I place them under my plant lights. I walk by them and see the humidity on the lid. If I don’t see the moisture I open and mist. I wish I could post a picture.
These are my methods: my success.

What’s the reasoning for using only perlite? What fertilization is used?
Having a leaf and 2-3 nodes or sections on the stem you’re trying to propagate
might lead to more success.
