Jarrariums

Are these examples AI?

I'm building my idea board and this page has a number of amazing examples:

https://acuariopets.com/how-to-setup-a-ghost-shrimp-jarrarium

But I can't find where the images are from or how they built them. Now I'm starting to wonder if they're just fantasy. Are these examples legitimate? If so… how are they constructed??

Obviously thrown together by AI. Both the article and the pics. Just by the things that are described in super generic ways that sound right, and the missing things.

Like, each of those jars are fake. Not a single shrimp in any of them. Fish without filters. The one with a filter(?) has no shrimp or fish. There’s driftwood but no tannins. Plants and fish are close to real species…but not there. Etc.

The article literally describes how to put in a rock, and lists it as a step. It’s not wrong, but a hard scape is not as simple as just ‘I put a rock in, sometimes two’

But do not take this as “you shouldn’t go for this”. It’s definitely possible. They’re describing a small Walstad method tank, which is a good way to go; research that, and scale it down for jar size. Be careful with the rocks you put in, as some can dissolve and raise ph and water hardness. Similarly, driftwood will lower ph and cause the water to become brown. Cycling will need to be done, but it’s longer and more complicated than “just letting it sit for 2 weeks.”
