I’m trying to get my own little version of this since I don’t want to ruin my bf’s current plant. I’ve had success propagating other plants in the filter but never tried a succulent.

It is possible to prop in water, however since it’s a succulent you would have to let the cutting callous for a few days before putting it in water to avoid rotting
