Plant Propagation

Will variegation transfer if I propagate?

I have a golden pothos that's doing really well and started growing variegated leaves. If I cut one of the variegated leaves and propagate it, will the baby plant continue to grow variegated leaves or will it go back to green like the rest of the plant? I really like the variegated leaves and it would be super cool to have a whole plant with it.

Just to emphasize the pothos is NOT regularly variegated it only has a few variegated leaves and the rest are solid green.

That´s a “Golden” Photos, the variegation depends of the amount of light that the plant recieves, if you want your plant show you more “golden” give it bright indirect light (a couple of the first of the last hours of the sun works very well).

You can´t propagate it by leaf, you have to have part of the stem (a node).

Propagating a stem cutting should produce a clone. Similar to what the other poster said it’s about light mostly.
