– Well, Alia Bhatt, how are you feeling tonight? – I’m feeling great, I’m feeling very excited. Months of preparation, lots of conversation. It all, you know, builds up to this one moment. – This moment. – It’s so real. But it’s also so special. I can’t wait to actually walk the carpet, ’cause it’s quite stunning. – I know. And you’re here representing India in saree, a beautiful saree at that. – Thank you. – [Interviewer 1] Who designed this? – So this is designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It is my second time at the Met, but my first time wearing as saree. And when I thought of the dress code, got enough time, I felt like it needed something timeless, and there’s nothing more timeless than a saree. – [Interviewer 2] And how long did it take to make your saree? The work on it’s truly exquisite. – Yeah. – Oh, it’s beautiful. – So this is all hand embroidery. – [Interviewer 1] Of course it is! – It’s taken, let me get this number right, because it’s extremely important when you talk about craftsmanship. 1,905 man hours and 163 craftsmen, embroidery workers, everybody, to make this garment. – I’m unsurprised because the work is really sublime. – What goes into the dress? – You can see so many years of experience and talent. And did you enjoy meeting the people in the atelier who made it? – I actually haven’t had the chance to meet them, but I’ve seen so many videos and I’m so excited to bring all of that out to the world for everybody to see because it’s taken a lot of love and labor and a lot of effort. And anything that’s gotten love and time lasts forever. – I am, I’m obsessed. – Like the garden! Like the Garden of Time. – The Garden of Time!

One thing is fab about her that she did not change her accent which other Indian actresses do..❤❤❤❤
Giving birth didn't even made any difference for her.. proud of you that you represented indian culture

The hair is the best part of her look but everyonebis talking about the saree which just looks like any saree her hair and makeup is what looks amazing
I love how Alia explained. That shows her respect towards the artisans.
The best outfit at the Met Gala for me….💜🥰

Watch Anok Yai for World class
Free Palestine! It’s sad that people we plebs admire … are so focused on superficial things like this, when IsraHell is inflicting the worst assault on Gaza! Do you all not think it would have been an opportune to raise awareness on this? Do something to oppose it, take the funds you’ve channeled into a dress that will never be used again, to rathe sustain human life with food, medical supplies……basic things that the people of Gaza really are desperate for?
Safed sari vidwha banke gayi hai wao😂😂
I really love how she appreciated and shout out to the craftsmen and their tiring efforts ❤
Aishwarya would've carried it much more gracefully. Alia is continuously moving while talking, not at all graceful.
Beautiful
I love this how she used her Indian accent ❤❤❤❤.
I'm really joy to see One Women dressed like a Woman, look like a Women – Alia B'hat

Kids are dying in Gaza, NO ONE gives a f*ck about this!

Okay i have to say this -" swarg look ki apsraa jesi jhalak hai is saree ki "
She's really looking like a goddess 😮
All eyes on rafah 🇵🇸 . COMMON LETS NOT TURN INTO A BLIND EYE AND IGNORE THE FACT THAT ONE PART OF THE WORLD IS DYING AND THE OTHER PART OF THE WORLD IS PLAYING DRESS-UP. WHERE IS HUMANITY?
Clueless about the theme, as expected.
Lovely Saree❤
The one in red colour is one of the the casts of Wednesday.

She is boring..
Only her sari is nice
SORRY. ALIA IS "NOT A CITIZEN OF INDIA". SHE IS A HYPOCRITE "NON-DOM" BRITISH CITZEN. Check HER Wikipedia PAGE. In INDIA you CAN NOT Hold DUAL CITIZENSHIP. FULL STOP.

We all Indians are very happy to see Alia in saree representing our culture in Met Gala …
She's looking so beautiful
As if a royal fairy princess adorned in the finest jewels dug out by squirrels, draped in a fabric made of flowers and ladybugs and stars by a thousand fairy godmothers has flown in to give us a peak into her fantasy world .
❤❤❤❤❤
Alia has no body to complement that beautiful sari, and she's making too many hand gestures.
